To me I feel Southampton have gone, Forest too and Bournemouth. I now feel there is no way back for these 3 and we Everton, West Ham and Wolves should all escape. With another couple of players tomoz I think we will will/should once away from danger….. yes all based upon todays commitment and without having Sinisterra or Bamford yet. Firpo must be going surely as Marsch’s starting LB for this season hasnt….
West ham game becomes so important. Beat them and were five ahead of even them. But how many chances have we had to open gaps in last two seasons and we blew every one of them
Bournemouth are struggling. I don’t rate Jones at Southampton. Forest are doomed and with the money they've spent, they might be gone for decades. Let's face it, we all want Everton to go...
Watching the City v Everton game and a couple of classics from the female commentator... Apparently Pickford has some "big balls in his locker" and when Patterson was tackled "his shoe came off". Fair play to Fat Frank though he can set up a defensive formation properly.
They were all partying in Radzeire's man cave until the early hours,he wouldn't let them go to bed until they learnt all thecwords to, Leeds Leeds Leeds, Play All The Way and the Ballad of Billy Bremner. A full Irish at 10.30, a few days sightseeing and they'll be over on the coach with the Galway White's, walked on the pitch half an hour before kick off against West Ham. Victor is in Spain, hoping to have got the owner of Elche so pissed, that he got him to sign , Firpo and Llorente at a combined fee of £30m . Angus was at home watching Swedish porn.
Seems loads of stories about Noa Lang again. Yes we asked about him under Bielsa and we have since had a look but in reality do we need another winger? So I’m suggesting the stories are bollox. Phil Hay has dredged up the Che Adams story again too, why he doesn’t score more than 8 or 9 per season so not what we need. Anyone else think we will bring in a loan striker with a buy option for the summer as long as we stay up
On the subject of staying up we should be well safe as long as Marsch sets up like he did yesterday. That would mean lesser teams than Newcastle will be beaten by us and we will also pick up the odd point against top 6 teams. If we play like yesterday with a fit squad which includes Bamford and Sinisterra we should no longer be held by bottom clubs like last season and this, we must win these games.
This is what I've heard, not 100% as usual but fairly reliable. Newcastle and Leeds are miles apart on their respective valuations of Harrison, so unless one side budge, that's not happening. We enquired about Pulisic before the WC,were told not leaving unless they get a replacement, we said we wanted a loan with an option to but, we were told if it was to happen,£4m loan fee, we have to pay his full wage, the £4m loan fee would come off the pre agreed transfer fee, which is dependent on us staying up. Marsch has given the name of a striker he wants but it's doubtful we'd get him,in January.
I suppose the only comfort from all that is we are looking at the striker situation. Obviously finances will dictate what now happens. Hopefully they have already sorted the LB scenario, and are just waiting to announce
The Pulisic loan deal sounds about right and doable and the longer Jack Harrison is not used in his left wing position just means his value is dropping like a stone. He wasn’t great yesterday and it seems to have been ages since he had a good game for us.
Is it time for Aaronson to drop to the bench for a while ? Good player but probably needs this season to adjust to the physicality of the PL. Haven’t looked at any stats but seems to lose possession a lot and I’m struggling to remember him creating many chances.
You could be right but I also get the impression that he is being targeted and fouled he’ll of a lot. Seen him doubled up on too. He is a threat to any team in my view so gets some stick
Really pleased to see that Lewis Bate is starting to do a job down at Oxford. He’s now getting rave reviews and Karl Robinson his manager says he is the most talented player he has ever coached. Robinson coached Deli Alli and Paddy Bamford whilst managing MK Dons. Local media also bigging up Bate and Robinson says his next improvement needs to be more goals and assists because other than that he is dominating the middle of the park
Just think last 20/30 mins he could be very effective. Klich came on yesterday and Rodrigo put him through on goal but Klick's lack of pace meant he couldn't reach the pass. A fresh Aaronson would have been ideal in that scenario.
