Agreed, he is our best player and correct it doesn't say much about the rest. As a team they play well together, individually not so good. We have few premiership quality players and fewer who may grow into the role. Etheridge, Bennett and Gunnarson are already there. ML has the most potential and Ralls may grow into a better player with games under his belt. I have not included Arter or Camarasa as they a loanees. Of course my opinion is based mainly on TV viewing and only attending 2 games at the CCS in recent times.
Well it might be put out of our hands if this is right https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...four-premier-league-clubs-interested-15595980
To quote Warnock from a while back - "we don't want anyone here who doesn't want to be here". http://www.insidefutbol.com/2018/12/28/nantes-hitman-not-keen-on-joining-cardiff-city/403506/
I hear Ranieri doesn't rate Tom Cairney and would be prepared to let him go in January. He's even taken the captaincy off him and given it to Mitrovic. Now if we wanted a skillful number 10 in the team.....................
Looks like a damp squib of a window https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/what-cardiff-city-now-look-15605079
Looks like medel might be on the move. West Ham United have had a £6.5m bid for Chile midfielder Gary Medel, 31, rejected by Turkish club Besiktas. (Talksport) Now there is a Warnock type player...
That would be a great signing for us but can’t see it happen Remember his “Gold Medel” display when we beat the jacks.
I don't see it happening either nin, and I don't know how he's performing, but in his pomp, him and camarasa in the middle would be a great pairing.
Clyne has just come on for Liverpool. His 4th consecutive appearance. Looks as if that might be another opportunity dead in the water.
Not so sure about that again............... https://readliverpoolfc.com/2018/12/30/cardiff-leading-the-race-to-land-clyne/
Would help us out for sure. Whichever division were in next season, the summer window will be a big one. I know we have to get this one out of the way first, but there is building to be done.
A striker has to be priority but a decent right back would be most welcome. If we did get one and played him constantly then would he play a back 5 all the time to keep Manga in the team (assuming Bamba & Morrison are his first choice picks)?
Not sure how a back 5 would affect the rest of the line up. Would you leave out a midfielder or one of the attacking 3? Also, not sure of the benefits of this type of signing for the here and now. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-beat-swansea-city-15610796 I know we're bargain basement hunting, but the numbers game, hoping for a gem, don't pay out very often.
Wont go away, but is this just bullshit?............... https://sportslens.com/report-cardi...es-emiliano-sala-agree-20million-fees/254602/ Original from Le Figaro............. http://sport24.lefigaro.fr/football...nantes-sala-se-dirigerait-vers-cardiff-939231
Another name in the frame.............. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2019/01...table-bid-for-watford-midfield-target/404143/
Just asked 2 Evertonions sat opposite me if they'd heard any rumours. Neither have heard that Everton are interested in sala. The one who attends everton games regularly said there are still noises about Niase joining us. The second one is interesting though Sparkey. It would mitigate us losing gunnar at the end of the season.
Now that would be a very good signing. I like this guy - strong, pacey and direct - every inch what CCFC need for the run in. Warnock tried for him with a £10m punt in the summer but was allegedly put off when Brom came back with a £15M price tag - I bet he'll pay that now. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/matt-phillips-wanted-cardiff-burnley-13803401
