Morning all. On New Year's Day, I will be doing the dip in the North sea at Sheringham. There will be a collection to raise funds for the RNLI at Sheringham. If any of you fancy a day out watch, or even to come and take part with me, it would be great to see you there. There is an official 'Sheringham Dip' page on facebook somewhere.
If you need a bit of practice, the Gem has a similar, long-established event on Boxing Day. In fact if you do the Cromer one first, you could then swim to Sherrers - and arrive just in time for theirs six (6) days later! Seriously though, good luck with the RNLI fundraising.
Sadly CC, I have to work on Boxing day, or I would have lowered myself to visit the germ of the Norfolk Coast Hope all is going well for you at the moment CC
UPDATE. Just under 300 people did the dip, and just over £1500 was raised for the lifeboat If any of you were watching Look East on Tuesday, you might well have been unlucky enough to see a rather 'portly gentleman' in a Captain Mainwaring t shirt
