I didn't answer your question Stan as personally, I'm not interested in talking about Steve Gallen. I am interested in talking about Chris Ramsey. I'm not suggesting Gallen should have the job over Ramsey. I am trying to see why people think Ramsey should be re-employed by the club considering his failures at the club so far. The only justification you can come up with is that he has a better record in this area at a different club that anyone else at QPR. Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp had decent records at previous clubs and both failed to achieve what the club expected of them. Ramsey has failed in his roles at the club to date. Why should that change?
And as I said above, he probably will fail because, and it's time we faced up to this, QPR is a **** club. Crap facilities, crap infrastructure, crap or non existent strategy. Increasingly, and saddest of all, crap fans as well. In fact it's nuts recruiting someone with the paper qualifications and record of Ramsey before these things are fixed. Gallen kept his job so long because he was the right standard for it.

No matter how much you hate and despise them these people don't want to fail. They just do.

Some players & achievements that were not Ramseys Fault:

Youth Alliance League title in 2007
2013 Capelli Sport/Newark Liberty International Soccer Summit - Winners, Beating Liverpool & Inter Milan

Ray Jones - RIP
Kayan Prince - RIP
Jamie Sendles-White - Currently plays for Hamilton Academical ( & NI under 21's)
Jordan Gibbons - Currently plays for Yeovil
Bruno Andrade - Currently plays for Woking
Michael Doughty - Lost in West London
Joe Oastler - Currently plays for Aldershot Town (called up to England C - I Didn't know it existed either)
Ángelo Balanta - Currently plays for Carlisle United (Won a senior League cup game against Swindon in our first team, 3-2)
Raheem Sterling - Couldn't find anything on him but he looked quite promising.

Plus other current squad players, who are also professional players with contracts so qualify as having 'come through' QPR...

In reverse, I would like the pro-Ramsey brigade to produce a list of his achievements to justify his second Senior position at our club.
Hi Finglas! I don't know exactly who was responsible for our signings and outgoings last summer, but I got the impression Ramsey was heavily involved in the process with SLF. Maybe you don't agree but given the tight budget they seemed to have done a good job, far better than the last few seasons on bigger budgets. Only outgoing that really hurts on the field is Barton''s for me, but justifiable due his Twitter fix.

Results under Ramsey don't look good with high expectations, but when considering all the changes then they weren't so bad ( remember changes and Hughes),and our league position, goals scored and entertainment value this season under him were better than where we are now.

So.........why was he sacked in your opinion?

For what it's worth I don't think he should have been sacked at all. I think he is smart enough about football that given time he'd have made a good Head Coach, or Manager, and what we need is continuity not continual Managerial changes. I read SLF was quoted as saying something like they didn't reckon we would achieve the new amended target of a top 6 place this season under CR, so I have too take that as the reason, though he could have added the majority of the support was against him. Les may wonder privately what he's still doing there too, since he and Ramsey seemed to work so together - if Ramsey wasn't good enough how is Les? I am also unconvinced about the need for a DoF at all.

I think Ramsey should be good in his new position and wish him all the best. I really hope as well that JFH is 100% behind this appointment, and the 3 of them work together well. I hope as well this appointment completes our football direction appointments, and we stick with these 3 for this and next season as long as they are giving their best for the Club.

Let's hope that CR can excel in a role that he has achieved in at previous times and clubs.

What worries me more , is the rumour that TF, is wanting more "love appeal" and is considering employing Chris Gayle to be QPR's very own Barry White , watch this space

Sorry, but is that your official response to that comment?

No.

I think it was an oath originating from surprise at an awkward turn of phrase that was 'a bit John Terry'.

Yes sku, something like that mate. I posted as a regular poster. I'm not here to take offence on behalf of other posters. I think fyohm intended it as a joke, albeit a rather bad 70's styled one.

I've just changed my name by deed poll to Chris Ramsey jnr so just about to contact Sir Les too sort out my new position in the boys club, hoping for something like Technical Executive Director Manager of Entertainment (but not on the pitch) & Merchandise for which I'll be able to get a six figure salary & no actual responsibility.
