Bongo .... you're a wild man with that Photoshop ... nice job. However, lose the school-boy badge outline, remove the centenary black block and just add use the word CENTENARY in black and we have something useful, simple, continuous.

Surprisingly, I like the kit - I can see why there will be some that will dislike it though.

The crest, I don't like. If it is a crest that is only being used for 1 season, then I'll tolerate it. If it goes on for longer than that, it will need tweaking and refining. It looks too big on the kit.

Like others have stated, for the sake of brand identity, we should have just added something to the current logo. Next season, the whole world will have to learn that Swansea now has a new brand logo, and then after 9 months, they will have to re-associate themselves with the logo from 2 seasons prior. A pointless, and confusing, move from our club.

However, I am looking forward to our home kit release despite my crest reservations!

I like the logo but not the kit colour, so won't buy the away kit as it looks like blackpool's to much

    Love the kit and Badge.<ok>

The badge is just for our centenary and will be gone next year so i can live with any colour variations they have, will deffo be getting this shirt ,i was one of the few who loved the orange one i guess!!

The kit looks like a cross between an old portugal kit and an old liverpool kit but i do like it very much, its a winner !! <laugh>

The logo is critically / strategically important - consistency and continuity. I can't even begin to estimate the number of millions of impressions it gets per day over here through ESPN, Fox Soccer and Fox Succer Plus tv coverage of EPL - every program intro sequence, every fade out / fade in for commercial breaks, every promo piece for forthcoming matches. Fox Soccer / Plus airs about 12 hours or more of EPL programming every day - matches, pre/post game analysis, weekly review shows, Sky Sports News hours etc. And this is just in USA / Canada. EPL is covered globally. Our current logo is contemporary, simple, distinctive, easy to pick out and memorable against the swath of other clubs' logos - we don't get lost in the noise like some of the other clubs.

Must say I do like it. BUT the crest as mentioned, would have been better in black, and not have the green in it.

The title of the thread is "New Swans 3rd Kit" so unless I've missed something, yes!

Also, Yankee, I'd imagine this is just for kit purposes. As with Arsenal's centenary, I doubt the logos on TV programs, magazines, sticker books etc will be any different, but on the kit and an certain official merchandise there'll be special centenary stuff. I could be wrong, but I can't see them "officially" changing the club badge for a year?

Yes...much better Bongo. I like the idea of a commemorative badge but what the hell is that bird? Actually looks like the Liverpool Griffon as someone else has said.

Good to see Dai is out of step even on this. <laugh>

    At least he's consistent.

As Yankee has pointed out our current logo is becoming very well known and recognised overseas. It appears on Fox and other channels regularly. ...... and now we change the ****ing thing? <doh>

    Bonkers!

We're not changing it though? The badge will stay the same, like Arsenal's did, but on that kit and on certain merchandise it'll have the centenary logo.

Just the away kit? So there's no consistency either then. <doh>

Well, even if it was used on all kits for the entire season the official club badge wouldn't change, so I don't get all the negativity. Yes, it's not the most distinguished badge in the world, but it does the job for the occasion it's needed for.

As was already mentioned elsewhere on this thread, according to the website, and all the Swans players on Twitter, this is our official away kit for next season.

For what it's worth, I quite like it. The badge doesn't offend me, and I think the use of Welsh colours is a nice touch. For those who don't like it, keep in mind how infrequently we have to wear our away kit anyway. Our home kit has been worn away from home far more often this season than the orange.

Now, I really hope that our home top is identical to this but just all white with black adidas stripes, echoing the gorgeous strip of our '81 season. Let's hope that the powers that be don't feel the need to get all creative with the collar again like this season.
