TOP STRIKER SET FOR BOUNDARY PARK?

Latics manager Paul Dickov, although on holiday at the moment, has not let the grass grow under his feet as he sets about re-shaping his Latics side.

Before departing for a well earned rest, the Latics supremo made an offer to bring a mystery striker to Boundary Park from a top English club.

The striker who has held talks with the club has found the net over 90 times in just over 165 appearances at both non-league and Football League level.

In addition to the chase for a 'second summer striker' signing, Dickov has also made an approach to a goalkeeper to join the Boundary Park squad.


"I only want quality in my squad for my second season at Boundary Park, everyone knows I prefer to give youth it's head when I can, but from time to time the opportunity arises to sign a player that has the lot...experience, skill and pace and he is still in his twenties, all the qualities a manager could wish for...this could be one of those moments!"

mcdonald would be a good signing but im not sure what announcing that we're interested (if it is him) will do us because we wont be the only club after him
 
Have heard about this guy - played at Stockport had trial with Derby then ikeston town and ended up signing for Luton. He scored 36 in 77 for ikeston town and scored 23 last season - Amari Morgan-Smith. Touted as best striker in non league. Luton missed out on playoffs and may need to offload.

doesnt match with the stats on the official but worth looking at anyway
 
People got offended by it and the apparently fascist connotation. Grella thing would make sense, he knows Dickov from his time at Leeds, looking for a new club, Leeds want rid of him.
