Firstly I would like to say that I have been very impressed with the volume and quality of applicants for the vacant manager's job.
We have held discussions with a number of parties to date, but as yet no formal offers have been made to any individual.
I understand that this is a frustrating time for you all, as you are desperate for news and to see a new man in charge at Bristol Rovers.
I would like to be able to go into more detail regarding the recruitment process, but out of respect for the candidates who have applied for the job I cannot give away any sensitive information.
We were all very keen to get a manager in before now, and have been working hard to try and achieve that goal, but it has taken a longer than we had hoped.
We are keen to learn from the mistakes made last year, and want to make sure we appoint the right man to take Bristol Rovers forward.
Talks with a number of interested parties are continuing, and we hope to conclude a deal by the middle of next week.
Although later than we had hoped, we still believe that this will give the new man enough time to use the transfer window and help rescue our season. In the meantime, I would like thank you for your continued patience and urge you to get behind Shaun North and the team tomorrow.
