NEW STADIUM PLANS UPDATE
Posted on 15 April 2016 - 15:45

The Club can confirm that the Secretary of State has written to the London Borough of Haringey stating that he does not propose to call in the planning application for the Northumberland Development Project and Haringey Council has today (15 April 2016) granted permission for the scheme.

We shall now work with Haringey Council in respect of finalising planning processes, public sector support for the surrounding environs and transport improvements that are essential to the deliverability of the scheme.

We are delighted that the scheme continues to progress and shall keep fans updated. Current works on site can be viewed via the webcam at www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new-scheme/stadium-tv

Is it just me or is that first sentence a bit of a mess?
Sounds like more good news and progress, though. <ok>

Dictation is an art... The message could have been so simple...

Spurs are on their way to Wembley!

I wonder how playing away from home for a year will affect the team. Wembley's not exactly as intimate as WHL and I can't see us filling it on a weekly basis, perhaps we'd attract a few more tourist fans though.

On the other hand, any cup finals would feel like a home game.

It's a big playing surface, which should suit out high energy style.

Also, Wembley pitches have always been energy sapping, so the fitter you are the better.

Tbh, I thought this was alll done and dusted already.

Lending more weight to our rumoured request to play next season's CL campaign at Wembley? It isThe Standard, though.

Tottenham may consider taking down a part of White Hart Lane ahead of schedule to accelerate building work on their new stadium.

The club plan to be in their £400million, 61,000-seat ground for the start of the 2018-19 season but are aware they are working to a tight timetable and will look at all possible options to give them the best chance of delivering the new ground on time.

Tottenham are keen to stress that no decision has yet been taken.
