Still rip-offs on soft drinks though.
Really? Not sure where you buy your soft drinks but those listed undercut or match every outlet I use, licensed or not.
Overall, I am delighted by the price-setting shown so far. Just hope there’s not a sudden increase when the ground is fully operational.

Three quid for a pint of "soft drink" (see menu piccie) ??
Back to my student days and taking 1 litre fruit cartons into the pub. :)
I read ‘£2.50’.......

Judging by the Twitter feeds to date, the supporters are very
impressed by what they are experiencing today at new WHL
(pitch-side, catering etc) .

I love the "centre spot" plaque too (anything and everything
that links back to WHL is great by me) .
The aggregate in the polished cement are chippings from the old stadium, another nice touch

A few months ago, I challenged Daniel Levy to be brave in pricing the fare at Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM. I've got to say that he's done just that. Getting a pint of decent lager for £4 inside a venue in London is great value. Everything else looks pretty decent too. They're not giving it away but the quality looks okay. If it is as good as it looks, then the club have a chance of creating a vibrant pre and post-match environment for fans to enjoy.

I'll give it a go and stay for a drink or two at those prices. I think that others will too. DL gets a lot of criticism, this time he deserves a pat on the back. Daring to go in that low in pricing deserves to be praised and rewarded. Bloody well done!

Re Alcohol and Food Pricing.

I read somewhere an interview with Darren Eales where he shared some of the reasons why Atlanta United has caught on so much with Fans. I quote "they dropped food prices by 50% around the stadium and revenues increased by 16%. The price of a pint at Atlanta is $5 whereas at the StubHub Centre , home of LA Galaxy, is over $11"

I wonder if Darren and Daniel have had a chat and Daniel is copying the same business model?

If the plan is to have the whole Market Square area serve as a post-match Boxpark, having non-pisstake prices coupled with relatively straightforward menus is going to go a long way to making that happen. The combination of affordable beer, especially by London prices, and food options where fans might consider the merits of half time fish & chips over a half time pie will go some way to making this happen - although I can't help but think a couple of the veggie options might not catch on

This is the main reason the Croydon Boxpark has been a miserable failure since it opened: the prices take the piss, numerous stalls have come and gone (or, these days, simply gone) because unless they sell burgers, pizza or fried chicken the average Croydonian becomes scared and confused by the menu (this is a place where 75% of Subway orders are ham & cheese, afterall), and it isn't an attractive music venue as the only genres of music they plays are drum and bass

Of course the shysters behind it got a hefty loan from Croydon Council, so they're laughing all the way to the bank

Simple P = A x B arithmetic,
If your profit and unit price/sales are P and A/B, then you
can decrease A if B increases to compensate.

P = 8 : 8 = 8 x 1 = 4 x 2 = 2 x 4 = 1 x 8.

If you choose B correctly, then as your example shows, not only
do you increase customer goodwill but you also increase P
beyond your desired minimum.
