Those on Skyscraper City who have knowledge of such things, reckon it's a lot less than that [maybe £500 - 600m]and that the club ramped up the build cost very significantly to garner support from the local authority in relation to minimising the amount of affordable housing on their proposed residential developments.

At the end of last year, we borrowed £400m to complete the build and there's been no sign of any additional borrowing for the supposed growth in costs since. That was a replacement on an existing loan of £100m and £300m additional borrowing.

Last financial year was 400m on facility, and 150m used.
Next April we will know how much of the remaining 250m was used,
and how much additional borrowing was done.

My suspicion is that come then, many of the haters will be
painfully shocked while I will just go : meh, < standard > Levy.

If you reckon that the 550 residences on the south side of the stadium are going to be primo top-notch investment properties that could realise profit above £100m. Chuck in half again for The Goods Yard develpment, then we're on our way. The hotel's gotta be worth a fair bit when it's built. Chuck in a £20m sponsorship for 15 years and it's paid for, without dipping into the concert money or NFL or anything.

The idea that we learned how to build a stadium by watching 'them', without getting to grips with the financing is ridiculous. The fact that 'The Levy-Pochettino Stadium' was significantly financed with 'their CL money' just makes the whole thing more gorgeous........Cheers Stan, we owe you.

Yet again, a very slow Sunday on site and yesterday was no different. I'm sure that like the swan, there's loads of work being applied out of sight.

However, if there are problems with meeting deadlines, there's no sign of it. There's been no sign of work on the roof all weekend, little work on the South Stand glazing today and only a bit more yesterday. I haven't even seen anyone ripping out any of the faulty 15,000 padded seats.....

The only area of significant activity is paving the South Podium.

Anyone know what the big conrete tower is down at the Seven Sisters? It far too high to be a machine gun post to keep unwelcome goons out.

Two of the pitch trays have been trundled out and the crane scaffolding is being dismantled.
Most of the live cams are out of action so that's basically all that can be seen.

It's going to be an amazing season whatever happens, as we all get used to a fantastic new stadium.

Have you, like me, been looking at the WC Stadiums and thinking Spurs new one is better than that. or 45000 ?? we are going to have 62000 incredible.

I'm getting weirdly interested in the cranes. The second one inside the ground seems to be being dismantled now. But the one outside the ground in the SE corner seems to have got much longer recently. It has been moving around a lot this morning but I can't see what it has been carrying.

They seem to be doing a lot of work on the roof itself. Might be sealing the joins or something like that.
