Anyone else following the Brent Planning Committee Meeting on the potential grant of using Wembley at full capacity next season on football.london?

http://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/spurs-discover-wembley-capacity-fate-12789338

No, didn't think so.
Could be worse, could be Football Insider - who manage to combine the twin irritants of blatant clickbait while also lecturing you for using AdBlocker if you click on it!

Among their most recent Spurs-related "headlines": Arsenal fans on Twitter say Dele Alli was **** against Germany.

Donna Cullen answers
Points to the 80k+ crowds at the European matches. Will also be a good allocation of complimentary tickets to the local community.

Another question from a councillor
It’s a big jump from 61k to 90k, where does that come from?

Question about the lack of people coming back to seats at England matches after half-time will that happen at Spurs
Donna Cullen replies: “Our fans don’t miss a second of our matches”.

<laugh> Go on, let 'em have it.

Question on what Spurs Foundation will do in the area
Donna Cullen says the foundation will fund some projects completely, some will be match-funded and some shared costs between public and private sector. They will look to see what is needed in the area.

20:46
If there is a lot of trouble and damage done, will Wembley or Spurs compensate?
Chris Bryant: “We have not been made aware of that happening in the past.” The chair says the compensation question is not a planning issue.

20:49
"We don't want complaints from our fans or residents"
Donna Cullen says that drives their matchday operations. If residents are complaining about traffic issues then so will fans be. “We will be a very public point of contact and we want people to report things”. Says there were no problems reported after European matches.

One of the early speakers seems unwell
She looked upset at one point over in a corner and after being slumped in her seat for a while has now left the room.

Ashley Young in drag?

21:08
Plenty of traffic talk
Lots of talk from Wembley about liaising with residents. We’re heading towards the three hour mark now.

Area planning manager David Glover is going through some points
Lots of supplementary points being gone over. Minutiae from the application. Lots of bits that he feels points towards why his department recommended approval. He speaks faster than any man I’ve ever heard.

Faster than an excited mouser?

Is your mum impersonator mumbling
"Calm down calm down" while putting on a black curly wig? <whistle>

He says his officers still recommend approval
Now it’s up to the committee. Says this is not to determine if Spurs will be playing at Wembley next season, but whether the extra increased capacity matches are to be approved.

The standard says we may stay put for another season...will be gutted if we do...have been to the last fa cup match at whl and just got a ticket for the last NLD at whl...if we stay put I will not get that lucky a second time <grr>

I've heard that but reckon if we get a 'Yes' tonight then we have to go for it.

David Glover is still going through points
Talking about the impact on residents and businesses. The objectors signal their unhappiness at certain points.

21:26
His answer to the 'national stadium' points made
“It was built as a national stadium but there was never anything saying it is to only be used as a national stadium.

21:27
The objectors start booing
The chair tells them to stop. Safe to say they’re not too keen on the way he’s been controlling the evening’s meeting. Tough gig though.

Worse than bloody Everton fans.
