There's been a bit of excitement regarding the 'ITK' on the roof assembly. After stating that Saturday's attempts went badly and it was decided to reconvene on Monday and try again with more teams on site, the poster removed all content and has completely disappeared. Cue much conjecture as to whether he was a faker or just wanted to keep his job...

Well, there are 2 teams at work today, one on the East side and one on the West. The troublesome second piece on the East in in place and the third is going in, as well. Also, a new crane has appeared on the podium behind the South Stand along with a whole load of steelwork, possibly, the framework for the glass wall?

It's all go today. It also seems like the bloke was for real but has been silenced. I wonder if he's keeping Toby company or has kept his job wearing a DoF muzzle?
He's now part of the stadium. RIP ITK. <rose>

Some said that the bloody big hole south of the podium is the hotel foundations....it's just full of journo's and others who have crossed 'Don Levy'....I haven't seen or heard Damien Comolli recently....and AVB's been silent too.
You mean to say that DL didn’t get a subterranean shark tank installed? <laugh>

One thing I'm concerned about is that we're less than six months away from the new stadium opening, yet the pitch isn't in place

Surely I can't be the only one to remember how for the first few years after Wembley opened the pitch regularly decided to go in a different direction to the player who happened to be standing on it - not least in the 2010 FA Cup semi where Daws was taken out by the pitch shifting underneath him to give Piquionne a free run on goal from which he (inevitably) scored?

Remember, the pitch sits in 3 trays that separate and go under the South Stand, into the biggest cannabis factory in London. They're still taking delivery of the pitch trays and currently have slightly over half of them tucked away under that stand. Apparently, they're going to be filled with this industrial graded versions of this stuff...

that will give additional stability to the whole thing with a mix of astroturf and normal grass on top. They've got one @ Hotspur Way so, fingers crossed, we know what we're doing.

With new WHL, you face the prospect of the
pitch always being in perfect condition yet the
weather grinding the public transport to a halt.

Is it heated?

In the event of incoming bad weather, they just store the pitch under the South Stand. It's fine there for 5 days, as there are growth lights and watering systems permanently in the roof of the space under the podium. That has 4 ventilation shafts as well to keep it aired. Supposedly, it only takes 25 minutes in total to roll it out again. Truly incredible.

But how long does it take to clear 3 feet of snow off of the grid-iron pitch before it can be rolled out? Has anyone thought about that?
