No Vulcan nerve pinch from Pochettino there, so I
assume the bald builder posing with him will be sold
in the next transfer window.

Was at WHL yesterday, so did the routine inspection.
The framework of the south stand is now fully joined
to the east/west stands.

Is this definitely going to be ready for next season do we know?

I read somewhere that the roof needs to be going on around January/February time if it is to be on schedule. Is that right?

You're right on the rumour regarding the roof but as with everything else regarding the build, it is just a rumour.

Is it going to be ready? Nobody knows. However, we've promised the NFL that it'll be ready for 2018. If we can deliver it and flawless staging of their games, we should get a permanent franchise based there. That's when the whole thing really starts to pay its way.

We have agreed terms for Wembley for next season, if needs be, but working the site 24 hours, 7 days a week and flooding it with labour ought to give us every chance.

Thanks for the info mate <ok>

Hopefully it is ready, you don't really want another season at Wembley. I'm quite interested to see what it's like to be honest, I'm hopeful that it might be the best of all the new grounds. Not really a fan of the Emirates and really dislike St Marys too though I went to the Amex the other week which is a cracking little ground for a new build to be fair.

I'm quietly optimistic that this will be the ground that cracks the blend of old and new.

I like The Amex. The Emirates is very poor but being fair [I don't why] they were hampered by planning constraints, especially in relation to how high they could build. That meant they had to build out to get the capacity up. That just kills any atmosphere.

However, they also completely failed to site fans correctly to keep whatever atmosphere they had at Highbury. We've built the biggest single tier stand in Europe to be the new improved Park Lane End. It's situated less than 5m from the pitch and will hold 17,500 seated and when [not if] safe standing is introduced, it'll hold 21,000. That's some singing section and everyone in that end is under no doubt that it's for the true fan who doesn't just go to watch. Added to that, the whole bowl and roof are shaped to aid the acoustics of a football crowd. Being at Wembley this season has proven how badly wrong it is possible to get such things.

Chuck in the micro-brewery and the longest bar in the UK and compared to the **** concessions at Wembley, there's something that you'd want to buy. It is a bit like waiting for Christmas at the moment.

This is one of the 'trees' that support the upper areas of the South Stand, allowing the retractable grass pitch to slide under that stand. **** 'Thunderbirds', this is space age technology......
