A mate of mine went to a gig at the O2, and their main memories of it was being utterly bloody freezing as they were sat at the back directly below one of the air con vents

Years ago me and Mrs Conn drove to Wembley to see Genesis and parked at the top of one of the multi storey carparks , the traffic didn't move for half hour so I pulled over and we fell asleep 3 hrs later it was strangely quite and I had to lift the barrier while Mrs Conn drove out

Same almost happened to me. Genesis @ Knebworth in '92. Managed to make a quick exit home to Enfield, can't remember how, but cars were still trying to get out at 3am next morning!!

Led Zeppelin at Knebworth in79 we were faced with the same problem until some nut job in a land rover drove through a fence leading to the big houses private drive , it looked like a scene from Mad Max as we all followed it through Knebworth village

Or the Leicester Square theatre. Has a bar next to the seats, you can pop to the bar during the show <ale>

I went to a 'socially distanced' gig at The Half Moon a few weeks back. We were sat at tables :steam: but there was waiter/waitress service throughout. All very weird, but not having to queue at the bar, sort of made up for £6 for a so-so pint of cider. If you go to any Youngs pub, watch out as the app automatically adds on 10% service charge...<yikes>

    You can remove it.

    To save everyone a click:
"Following a number of inaccurate and sensationalist reports, we can confirm that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is operational as normal after a small fire, caused by an air compressor, broke out in one of the kitchens this morning (Thursday 2 September).

The fire was contained to a very small area and quickly put out with a fire extinguisher by the first person on the scene.

The building was briefly evacuated as per standard safety procedures following the triggering of the fire alarm system, while a London Fire Brigade crew attended the stadium and carried out a safety inspection before departing the scene."

Dear Evening Standard. Get ****ed. With love, Spurs.

Inevitable "You'll never sing that" response. <ok>

An Arsenal fan that I know who now lives in Watford and goes to watch them went to our game last week.
He was suitably impressed and annoyed, as he felt it was what The Emirates could have been.

I had many " after hours " tours of the stadium with my son when it was being built, I was sworn to secrecy at the time as Tottenham monitored SM and a few people were sacked for posting about the place , now he has moved on to other contracts I can post about the place , apart from the obvious pluses about the stadium it's the small touches that linked it to the old place that I like, the Shelf Bar with the brickwork from the old shelf , the plaques showing the old centre spot and penalty spot , the crushed materials in the concrete in the walkways from the old lane all gave me a link to the DNA of the old stadium, when I walked onto the track round the pitch and I stood looking up at the North stand I felt this enormous shiver down my spine and I was genuinely choked and felt what I would be like with the place on an evening game and the crowd in full voice , I will never be the Lane but I'm sure with a successful team it will be a close second

See, this is what I mean about Levy getting it right, then massively screwing up other bits.
The ton of small touches in the stadium show that either he or someone advising him gets it.
There's too much there for a complete outsider or even a casual fan to have thought of.
So why does he seem so detached with other things? It's bizarre.

The key tenet is that you want the home supporters close to the pitch,
and the sound of them to be like a sonic boom. Every club had a "home end"
in their stadium, whether by design or supporter effect, that did this.

Pitch-side comfort (seats, as much shielding from wind/rain as possible) is next.

Then basic amenities (catering, toilets, speed of entry into stadium etc) .

Everything else (max capacity, energy efficiency etc) is only noticed by
supporters on the "bottom line" (does it result in cheaper tickets) .

I suppose it's like the story of the girl helping the snake cross the river, half way across the snake bites her, why did you do that she asked , you knew what I was when you picked me up it replied
First and foremost he is a business man and not a true fan

    Edit
The other thing about a guided tour with my son , he pointed out the bits that could have been much better if a certain person didn't stick his nose in all the time and the short cuts taken in the services that will no doubt cost the club in the future
