Looking forward to the players telling us how the crowd noise
came across to them on the pitch (especially from the south stand) .

Time will tell how genuine his claims are, but I hope that he's as good as his word.
A fresh start for Tottenham as an area would be a massive thing for the club to help create.

Fascinating read. The mind wanders (and wonders) at the ramifications of 'what if' the Archway Steel owners had sold up as and when they were asked. I suppose we would have spent Poch's second season at Wembley with an incredibly young and inexperienced team and manager and may not have qualified for the CL the following year. Although at least we would've had a decent excuse for 'bottling it' in our pursuit of leicester.

Also intriguing to note that ENIC decided to build a new stadium from more or less the day they walked through the door of the club in 2001. I had always been under the impression that plans for the Academy, training ground and ultimately stadium developed much later and incrementally as we slowly inched our way towards semi-competence on the pitch, something that didn't really begin until the BMJ era and then really took off under Arry. So it wouldn't have surprise me in the slightest if Levy had said that he started working on a new stadium circa 2009/10, but eight years earlier than that?! I have to say I am mightily impressed. Playing the long game well is the mark of a top, top businessman. Seeing the profit and reward almost a generation before they flourish in reality is the mark of a genius; the kind of perseverance and determination that allowed visionaries such as Gates and Bezos to get to where they are now (albeit Gates hails from a very wealthy family).

Having read this article, I am humbled. If you'd asked me in 2001 where we'd be in 18 years, I'd probably have responded 'relegated'. If you'd asked Daniel Levy, he would have told you 'in a brand spanking new stadium hosting the biggest names in world football (and Man City) in the champions league'.

Danny Rose is one of their loudest advocates, so it makes sense, providing they pay a billion over 10 years.

The ARSes have THFC down as an anti-semitic "alt.right" "hate group" .
How can Google sponsor such an entity, when they are sh*t scared of
losing ad revenue once the "useful idiots" start harassing said advertisers
the moment they do so ??

 

Looking at the profit this stadium will generate, we will either have to spend it on players and salaries or pay a lot of corporation tax.

 

The EBITDA was 144m, but the final profit was 113m.
That is 30m odd written down as depreciation etc.

Is that on player transfer fee valuations for all players ??

 

Don't worry, if we have a set of parents physically and emotionally terrorise their kids they'll keep the as revenue going for a couple of years

I mean, the leaders of the UAE and Rwanda must have some concern at spending their hard earned, untainted, clean as you like, dollars on.....

That is the way it vs, normally done, transfer cost divided by years left on contract.
However, looking at 50M plus for Wembley, plus catering profits plus other sports/concerts, less salary increases, one is likely to see profits in the order 250-300M next season providing we get CL.

 

That is immense

In all competitions, the absolute max midweek home evening games
per season is about 15. At least 15 games per season are going
to be played at the weekend, when facilities can be opened well
before KO. I can see some staying after FT to eat etc before going
home, in order to let the transport crush die down.

 

If you added 100m to the profit just via stadium activities,
even a basic 50:50 split on the monies for loan repayment and
player funding would be quite impressive.
