If I was an Everton fan, I'd not be as easily satisfied as the author of this nonsense......

So, Everton are delaying so that they can learn lessons from converting a temporary athletics stadium without a roof, into an athletics stadium with a roof? That should be endlessly helpful in building a football stadium. If it's taken longer than 5 seconds to learn that lesson, you're a bigger idiot than Boris Johnson.

There are lessons to learn from our build. Firstly, building on the footprint of your old stadium causes lots of issues but you need an excellent design, a long time to get planning, transport, etc. sorted and a ****load of cash. Items 2 and 3 are why Everton aren't ready to build now and won't be next year, either....or the year after.
A large part of the problem appears to be that, for years, Everton were set to build a new stadium in Kirkby - but then the Anfield Cuckoos announced plans to convert their academy complex that happens to be in Kirkby into a training complex for both the first team and academy, which no doubt derailed any hopes Everton had of building a new stadium in the area.

They are learning....

My season ticket pack thingy has been sent out, apparently. That's got to be a good sign, hasn't it? Maybe?

I saw this on SSC, comparing the Yellow Wall in Dortmund with our South Stand. The Dortmund seats are shown in yellow.

It seems that ours has a few more rows of seats nearer the pitch and their has one or two more rows at the back. So, it's distinctly possible that in 'full seating mode', Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM has the largest one tier stand in Europe...

That is all.

TheDaily Mail continue to spout utter bollocks about the stadium...

"Tottenham has provided no timeline for the opening, with the FA bailing out the club by granting the continued use of Wembley which has put an unexpected burden on the field."

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-sale-temporary-home-Wembley-Shahid-Khan.html

Spurs had a pre-existing contract to use Wembley as a contingency measure if the new stadium was not complete. I wonder if the Daily Mail consider that their employees are "bailing them out" when they turn up to fulfil their legal obligations under contracts of employment? I suspect not.

Surely the South Stand, considering his ashes are buried there?

Also, this would imply a statue is in the works
http://www.offbeat.group.shef.ac.uk/statues/STUK_Nicholson_Bill.htm

At a guess it will have something to do with the Bill Nicholson Gates that will be erected outside the ST/\DIUM, most likely trying to recreate this ...

And to confirm the superior (or should that be Spurperior ?? )
pioneering nature of THFC, I would also like to see a statue of
Walter Tull somewhere at new WHL.
