It may not be definite or the club wanted to announce it? Still, as you say, it's good news and whether it goes ahead as planned or not, it suggests that the reporting of calamity and catastrophe by the hacks was as ill informed as all the other reporting of the club.
Maybe the club wanted it leaked ,so we get some good vibes from it. BTW just been looking at the live feed and looks like all the seats have been installed in the south stand and half way on the west and most of the east side as well. Happy days
Yes, even if it doesn't occur in a fortnight, given that it was Micky Hazard who said what he did does indeed give some positive vibes as perrymanlegend says.
Probably not certain yet but the club want to give the supporters the heads up so we are prepared for short notice. An 'accidental leak' is putting out the info without having to commit. Having said that I'm surprised Mickey Hazard can still run. He struggled enough in his playing days. They used to do 'Cross Country' around Cuffley and he was always at the back,....by quite a distance.
Stadium related, so I'm chucking it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45158878 How did we end up with more people in the ground than tickets sold, exactly? Odd. Edit: Also, why are Trafford Council and the Greater Manchester Police lying? Exact matches on figures? Piss off.
In the old days it would be easy to explain (my Dad used to do the turnstiles for a while at Orient). 2 people squeezing in to 1 turn of the turnstile (would have had to be very skinny at WHL!) and the fans/turnstile operator pocket the difference.
'Love Sport Radio has learned from sources with intimate knowledge of the construction process at White Hart Lane that the in-stadium sprinkler system, which is automatically activated in the event of a fire, will not be completed until March at the earliest' May be correct, but will wait for a more reliable source, I think.
The ex-England rugby player and Chelsea fan, Brian Moore put this out on a radio show. The line was.... "Are you a Tottenham fan? Have you plans been thrown into disarray by the delays? Call us on 0208 XX XX XXX and vent your anger!" Apparently nobody at all rang in. I'd take this with a large pinch of salt. Somebody on SSC, who has been very well informed on a number of issues regarding the new stadium has said it's not true as confirmed to him from within the club. Also, no other news outlet has gone with it.
From a THST board member on Twitter about the opening in March bollocks... “It’s tremendously poor journalism tbh. For the record, I spoke with a Spurs Director this afternoon and the story is complete rubbish. Hope that helps”
The good part is that, as there wasn't a match taking part, they didn't have thousands of people chanting "You don't know what you're doing" at the pair of them
