That sounds really good Flyer, Boavista more vertical and taller, with posssibilblity for expansion as at Basle. The more verticallly high angled and high the stadium is the fans will be closer to the pitch, and atmosphere better.

That Yappy ought to very possible. Oslo is full of roads in tunnels, the main motorways are in tunnels under the city. Putting South Africa Road in a tunnel underground and giving room for expansion there should be an engineerring possibility

I agree with other posts regarding location. It isn't what we get it is more of a concern as to where we end up. We could have any of the lovely grounds shown in the thread but what is the point if we have to move out of West London to get it?

QPR are well travelled but we have been in Shepherds Bush for donkeys years and it would be a tragedy if we have to leave the area. What is the point getting our own version of the Nou Camp if it is in another part of London or somewhere on the outskirts (Uxbridge, Denham, Feltham etc)?

For me it is White City or nowt, if we relocated out of the area I'd have to ditch the season ticket and may only make one or two trips a year. I know there are supporters out there who would go to the moon and back every other week if they had to but for me it has to be W12.

    I love that ground.

That stand reminds me of a subbuteo accessory I once had though.

Attendances were always pretty low at my old subbuteo games. Can't decide whether that was due to the shocking standard of play or just me not being arsed to paint and glue the crowd in.

As weve seen, theres lots of stadiums that wed be happy with, just as long as we dont get a shallow banked, flatpack job like Derby, Saints, Coventry, Boro etc

Its no coincidence clubs dont tend to do well in them.

Based on that the Swiss could build the stadium with the money I spent on a sandwich and a beer at Geneve airport last Saurday. For poor old Tony F however, this would cost most of his personal fortune. As things stand I'd be happy if they just shifted that flippin' snack bar that blocks access to the bogs in the Ellerslie...

Why, thank you. Yeah I think the street itself can stay at the ground level where it is, but our stands and entrances could be built up and over and across South Africa Road from corner to corner and that would give us the height for an extra tier. It may seem odd to have just that tier be higher than all the rest, but I think that's the way to go if we don't want to move from Loftus Road.

I reckon we should buy the White City estate off Hammersmith council and knock it down to make way for our new ground. Of course there will be a case for compensation for the residents but I'm sure TF can stump up £3.50, two Greggs pasties and a pack of Super Kings for everyone affected.

If you look at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane, just up the road from Suncorp, you'll see that the Stanley Road part of the stadium acually extends out and is supported over the main road....Also the rear which used to be the hill is extended out over my sons school (East Brisbane.) Again i cant post links just yet, but with this in mind we could duplicate the Gabba in Shepheards bush..sort of..!

    Can anyone post a pic...Norway?

Also intresting to note..the Gabba have all thier seating diffrent coulours and intermingled...It creaters the sense of a full ground when it is only half or 3/4 full.

Works really well, just watch the cricket final this weekend (Sun) Aus v india (i think)to see what i mean...

Have to say I'm impressed with how they have built the the stadiums down under. The placement of them and the design, top notch <ok>

Hopefully I get the oppurtunity to visit sometime in the future as they look absolutely stunning cities (Melbourne and Brisbane). My sister studied in Perth a couple of years ago and she has nothing but positives to tell about her stay.

Not bad..... But for us, I think we need to have a proper tunnel over the road and the stands extending!

I don't see why not! Including the Palm Trees <whistle>

But we need to properly extend over the road and the road be the tunnel.
