Cheer up we have two cracking french full internationals to step into the void left by Kevin. We move on.

He has serverd us well and a big thanks must go to him for all he did for the club. But the fact hes off to a relegated team says it all for me, he must think he wont be in the team next season if hes happy to take that drop.

We Just need a captain now.

 

Not to mention a loss in team spirit which won us games last season...

 

I dont think the team spirit 'thing' is just down to Nolan. He is a captain and great leader but there and no doubt that spirit came up with them from the first division. We needed that to get promotion, we needed that to stay promoted - now we need to move on by winning games with skill not heart.

Its all good and well having team spirit - Bolton, Wimbledon, Blackpool etc but it doesn’t win you nowt. It may keep you treading water in the league but if you want to get somewhere we need good players who win games with skill and effort. You win games - the team spirit will naturally follow.
