Pace on the wings is what we are lacking. In a striker like him, pace is a plus of course but its not the only thing that makes a good footballer
If we're going to boot it over the top it'd be nice if we had a player who could beat the offside trap at the very least. I agree pace on the wings would help more, but pace up front can't hurt. Pacey forwards cause defenders to make mistakes, mistakes lead to pressure build up and more mistakes, and those mistakes eventually lead to goals. I'd have Snods back in a heartbeat simply because he can beat his man. But given the choice between him and Gradel I'd take Gradel because Gradel has pace in spades as well as being able to beat his man. He also pressurises defenders and has a great eye for goal.
I would have Snoddy back but then I still think we'd be missing pace on the wings. When we had Snoddy, we also had Gradel who was insanely quick and Howson who was quite quick as well. If we were for some reason to have Snoddy back I still think we'd need to sign someone for the other wing with pace I think its more hard work upfront that causes defences to make mistakes. Something we don't currently have either
