2 year extension, taking him up to 2014.

Thoughts? I'm neither happy or sad, I expected him to stay to be honest, he's part of the furniture. As long as he doesn't think he's gunna be a first teamer next year I'm not arsed

If only for his goals against Sunderland..... He is consistently inconsistent. Im neither happy nor sad, to be honest i would have waited until end of the season before giving a new deal and see how he gets on.....

If we had got our new strikers in, i.e. another 2 on top of Ba he would be gone.... just shows MA has no intention of getting new ones in. I hoped we would release Shola, free up his wages, and put money toward getting someone else in.

i'm happy enough to see shola finish his career here. i'm not a shola hater and even though he can look quite languid at times i don't believe that he's actually lazy. he can be highly frustrating at times. but he's always stood up to be counted when the chips have been down and he's the last striker standing even when he's injured he'll play through the pain barrier for the club. He might not have done hiomself justice many times over the years because of this but he's been willing when others have cried off. people like viduka etc.

I for one would go to sholas testimonial.

I'd have prefer we got rid of him and put that money towards Joey Barton in all honesty. He hasnt been good enough for a long time.

Player only until: 2014

Player/manager: 2015 - 2017

Manager: 2018 - 2025

Owner: 2025 - 2050

Last person left alive in the entirety of the NE after Armageddon - 2051...

Praise be to Shola.

Shola probably has dirt on everyone from the manager up. Nice, naive guy on the outside; cold hearted, high earning evil genius on the inside.

Seriously though good old Shola, the ultimate figure of ironic veneration. A snail in glue could outrun him, an apathetic sloth puts in more effort at work but neither of them score past Sunderland every chance they get so ultimately he wins amongst his peers.

Maybe he's one of those guys who'll make an amazing manager, we'd best hope since he'll still be here in 20 years time.

<laugh> Christ. Imagine Shola as a pundit, and I thought Match of the Day was coma inducing enough as it is.

"Well... uh.. here's... the midfielder.. and .. he's also my interior decorator... oo yeh that bit was good, you don't see that very oft- wait look at that guy's hat.."

Worth it for the goals he WILL score against the Mackems.

His contract cant be higher either and to be honest hes not a bad squad player anyways.

SHOLA AMEOBI THE KING!
