<party> Here we go again DW latics fans with what promises to be another unpredictable season but with the acquisition of 3 new players and players leaving to go to greater heights(moses still with us while typing this post)or lower depending on your point of view and the fact that we have Chelsea on Sunday is going to see if we break our not wining the first game of the season but with the lads and bob ready to go (hopefully)let`s have a GREAT season and finish in the top ten in the league. here we go.

To be honest I can't be too disappointed with the result at the weekend. We made some howlers in the first few minutes of course but I dunno about you fromthestands, but I was just looking for signs we would be continuing on where we left off last season. There was plenty of that. We looked rusty, not completely sharp and some of them carrying a bit of timber - but all to be expected. Chelsea had the benefit of a much more competitive pre-season. We'll ramp it up.

I'm not going down to Southampton - for the second time in three seasons the away trip I was most looking forward to coincides with a wedding. That could go either way - newly promoted teams always unknown quantities, particularly in their first game back after a decade (?) Plus they'll be looking at us as the most winnable game in their first four. It's quite possible that we'll surprise them though.

Ye your right hp sauce the game as a whole was`not disappointing but the howlers were made in the first 6 or 7 minuets one being a pen from one of the new signings Ramis which apart from his mistake i thought had a decent game but really we were playing european champs and to keep them down to 2 goals was pretty good and in the second half (just like last season)we had more of the ball anyway with shots on goal by Di santo. Gomez.and kone but no worries i can`t blame for not going to the southampton game you can`t beat a good piss up at a wedding because like you say the game could go either way.

Moses is gone now - I'm not too disappointed what about you? I know he's just a young lad and I'm sure he's got more development to do but after a while I got sick of those mad rushes of blood he seems to have every time he gets himself in a decent crossing or shooting position. No doubt he could turn a defender inside out though!

The way Bobby sets his team out now we play quite a flexible front three who all interchange, so we could get by with playing a striker rather than a winger. Particularly with Boyce working up and down the flank. So we could play a front three of Maloney, Kone and de Santo. Or we could just give that young lad on loan from Arse a run out. I don't feel too down about losing Moses, Rodallega and Diame - yet those were the three players Bobby didn't play against Swansea - and he got barracked!

Not too disappointed or even worried that he's gone to be honest.

He has moved too early in my opinion, what he needs is regular first team football to improve on his game and he won't be getting that sat on the bench i'm afraid, but oh well we move on. I don't think we need a replacement as yet as we can play the lad from Arsenal Miyachi who looks a good prospect but if we look for one I'd take Ince or Matt Phillips from Blackpool, two very good players.

The thing is for me moses was one of my favorite players and even though like i've said in the past he was not at his very best for us so ye it is a disappointment for me but now that he`s gone to chelsea(maybe 9 million)thay can try and get very best from him.But your right we have got players to take up the slack from moses ie De santo. Gomez.and kone. But anyway away from that welcome back lads and hopefully a goode season for us.

I must say that you were a not bad side and you kept 0ur keeper busy and it showed why he is world class but the only thing that you need to learn is that in the prem you need money and lots of it to get good players in. learn that and you wont go far wrong. anyway goodluck with rest of the season and come back and post anytime. :emoticon-0100-smile

Hi 'fromthestands' hope you don't mind me coming back again this season?
I just wanted to say good luck, and I still think you are a team with a lot of potential, plus you managed to keep hold of your manager, which is good for you and your club! <ok>
Looking forward to seeing you play at Carrow Road, they always seemto be interesting games.
