Yes, you could be sunning yourself on the same beach as the players with it.

I rang up a couple of days ago to cancel my season ticket which is on a 10 year price freeze. The conversation went thus:

Me: "I'd like to cancel my season ticket for next season, it's a 10 year price freeze one"

Box Office: "I'm afraid you've missed the deadline for cancelation sir, it was January 31st"

Me: "But the terms and conditions I was sent say the deadline is on 28th February"

Box Office: "One moment sir........ okay, that's been cancelled with immediate effect"

And that was it. No argument whatsoever, so I think they must know they've dropped a bollock legally by not updating fans when they changed their Ts & Cs. It's slightly underhand that they still tried to tell me that I had missed the deadline though knowing this.

They've been well trained by the powers that be.

My only contact with them is for away tickets and I've always found them quite polite.

missed that many games this season, there's no way I wasn't renewing, so have kept mine and will faithfully follow General Pardew wherever he takes us.

    Three-year deal

With the three-year deal expiring, those on the deal now have two attractive options - without the requirement to pay up front.

The first option is to enter into a five-year scheme paid by annual direct debit, which will see prices for category two areas of the stadium starting at just £475 per season.

While fans are unable to opt out of the five-year duration, the £475 adult price represents a saving of £103 on the standard price of £578 - that's a saving of £515 over five seasons.

Alternatively, those supporters can switch to the Club's existing ten-year price freeze deal, which will hold their season ticket price at £519 for a category two seat for the duration of the deal - a saving of £59 on a standard one-year season ticket next season.

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

seemingly there are 10,000 fans on the paid up front deal

wow this is taking our loyalty to the limit

he's trying to get us all on longer term deals, but without the opt out clause ???

Your pound in his pocket is worth more to him than it is to you.

That's his take on it anyway.

You never know, he might have a buyer lined up and is just trying to get as much out of us as he can before he sells up.

It appears that Newcastle have more good deals for season tickers holders at Newcastle United, which have just been announced today.

Mike Ashley – not maximizing season ticket revenues

It doesn’t seem to us that Mike Ashley is trying to maximize the revenues the club gets from their attendances at home games, and there are price cuts for next year’s season ticket holders – and we suppose he’d rather have a full house than the extra revenues – which of course will only help Newcastle at home games.

These days the match day receipts make up only about a quarter of the revenues at Newcastle, and in the last financial year through last June 30th, our revenues were £95.9M.

And of that the match day receipts were £27.8M – about 29% of revenues – and the average match day attendance in the last financial year was an impressive 50,517 – the third highest after Manchester United and Arsenal – but still almost 2,000 short of capacity.

Mike Ashley doesn’t always do things that pleases the Newcastle fans – but these are really good deals – and Mike deserves some credit for this.

Now we need him to spend some big money in this summer’s transfer market.

This is what Newcastle United have posted on their web-site about the new season ticket deals:

Newcastle United have confirmed more price cuts for another 10,000 of the Club’s loyal season ticket holders at St. James’ Park for the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League campaign.

Just weeks after confirming that many season ticket holders on eight, nine and ten-year price freeze deals could see a price reduction, the Club can now confirm options for supporters who are signed up to its three-year ‘up-front’ deal and existing supporters on one-year deals and half-season deals.

The next set of renewal forms are set to land on doormats from Monday (17th March) and for those on the three-year deal, there could be a saving of up to £103 in a single season.

    Three-year deal

With the three-year deal expiring, those on the deal now have two attractive options – without the requirement to pay up front.
The first option is to enter into a five-year scheme paid by annual direct debit, which will see prices for category two areas of the stadium starting at just £475 per season.
While fans are unable to opt out of the five-year duration, the £475 adult price represents a saving of £103 on the standard price of £578 – that’s a saving of £515 over five seasons.

Alternatively, those supporters can switch to the Club’s existing ten-year price freeze deal, which will hold their season ticket price at £519 for a category two seat for the duration of the deal – a saving of £59 on a standard one-year season ticket next season.

    One-year season tickets

Existing season ticket holders on one-year agreements also have two choices for the 2014/15 season as detailed in their renewal documents.
An adult who paid £602 for a category two seat this season will have the option to purchase a one-year ticket at a reduced price of £578 – a saving of £24 – for 2014/15.
The savings keep on coming with the second option, which is to revert to the seven years remaining on the Club’s original ten-year price freeze deal.
Supporters with existing one-year season tickets can switch and guarantee an adult seat at £549 per season – saving £53 in 2014/15 alone.

    Half-season tickets

Supporters who took advantage of this season’s half-season ticket deal at just £64 for juniors can now switch to the Family Area – which holds 8,200 supporters at St. James’ Park – for just £105 for the entire 2014/15 season.

An adult and junior season ticket can be secured for as little as £488 combined. The cheapest season ticket for an adult and child at St. James’ Park for 2014/15 will be just £417 combined (applicable to those on the ten-year price freeze deal).

For more information on tickets for fixtures at St. James’ Park, please visit www.nufc.co.uk/tickets, call 0844 372 1892 or email [email protected].

Ashley testing the loyalty of fans again. If this doesn't tell people how he views things, nothing will. Despite there being plenty of unrest, he still believes that he can secure 5 years deal with no get out clause. He's probably right.

The pricing side of these things is always fair to be honest. We have one of the better pricing structures. We need to though with all the off field shenanigans!

This 5 year deal doesn't seem to be very attractive with no opt-out.
Trying to sell it on the basis of a £515 saving over the 5 years by the looks of it, but, is this price frozen or could it increase each season?
I'm unaffected as on opt-out deal, but don't think I would be that keen on this one.

The 10 year deal with price freeze makes more sense to me, but only with an annual opt-out.
