This is England Fran. We say Nike not Nikee (apart from the young urban speaking kids that all speak in a Afro-London accent no matter where in the country they are form.

We also say A(phonetic sound) dee Dass and not Err Dee Derse

    And Eer-rack...... not...... Eye-rack

Sorry, forgot, should add Gordon Brown to the 'urban kids'. He pronounces most words as an American would as well. Reminds me of the end of the film Crash which plays on racism in America, where a Black Woman getting angry shouts 'Does no one speak American anymore'. lol

The company pronounce it Nikee (and in fact produced a humorous video pointing it out to their British customers) and it gets its name from the goddess of victory called Nike (pronounced Nikee). Think I'll go with that being classically educated. :)

Lol. I've said it the other way for 30+ years. It will be like when you've sung the wrong words to a song for years. When you find out you were singing the wrong words, you will still sing them next time. lol

I'd hate to get a river fish mixed up with an offensive name for a Romany traveller.

They didn't see France '98. No memory of Davor Suker, Emmanuel Petit, Lilian Thuram, Marcel Desailly, Beckham's red. They probably can't even remember South Korea/Japan. Ronaldinho's free kick, Ronaldo's 8 goals, Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Oliver Kahn.

In a couple of years time, our new intake will have all been born in the 21st century. :(

Saints u18s rounded off their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 win over Exeter today. Callum Slattery played in the match along with a handful of trialists. Seeing as he was not part of this summers intake I will guess he is not old enough.
