I read somewhere earlier, that if they weren't in the SPL, Sky would revoke it's sponsorship. Might make it hard for the other clubs to vote against

Does not appear to be the case. Some things are bigger than money even nowadays. Glad that the rest of the SPL have stuck to good principals. At least it makes the race for 2nd spot more of an attraction. <whistle>

I think it's actually the old Rangers that have the vote. As the vote is about transferring the "golden share" in the SPL to the new club it's the 12 club's who have the shares now that vote. It would be piss funny if the administrators of the old Rangers voted no as well.

As a newco Rangers will be disqualified from qualifying for European competition for 3 years anyway. By voting no they'd turn the competition for the 2nd CL spot (which they're set to lose anyway due to the poor performance of Scottish clubs in Europe recently) from a competition between 10 crap clubs to being between 11 crap clubs, they'd actually be reducing their chances.

The £100k-£200k that they'll lose from that is less than they'll lose from their own fans boycotting games for the whole of the season which certain clubs have been faced with.

i'd like to think if smaller clubs in the spl run into difficulties after voting NO there would be a more sympathetic ear than had they voted YES .

How can a non member of the SPL , New Rangers vote though ? They are supposed to be an entirely new team supposedly

  8. Yes because without them SPL will go bust

It's actually "Old Rangers" that get the vote presumably with the decision in the hands of the administrators.
