colognehornet is correct - It is a village just north of Olso in Norway,

and far from being hot Ron it is very cold in the winter (I have been there!)

I can give you that. Tony Iommi had an accident on his last day of working there and cut the tips off two of his fingers. He tried to play guitar left handed without success. He then made artificial finger tips which were strained by the tension involved in playing and so lowered the octave and tension - thus creating a sound which has been copied by heavy metal guitar players ever since - he also plugged the lead guitar into the bass amplifier in the process, like most later guitarists in this field of music. Over to you.
