A 2 part question: During the cold war era NATO's Northern Headquarters were based at Kolsås, Olso in Norway from 1951 until its closure in 1994. Part 1 - Where was it? Part 2 - Who built it?
Was it in a giant cave built into a fjord ? The one which the Nazis built for the production of heavy water for their V2 bombs.
All I can remember from my 'Military studies' for my EPC is that it was sort of inside a mountain I think. Can't remember who built it though <scratches head>
You've got the first part right Maestro, the 'where' is inside Kolsås Berg and colgnehornet is correct for the 'who' though not the location or purpose. Whilst it was constructed by the Germans the actual labour was provided by French prisoners of war. I always felt very safe working there as it was capable of withstanding a direct hit from a nuclear missile. As the 2 of you were partly right I will leave it to Maestro and colognehornet to come up with the next question (whoever get's in first!)
An easy one for you. I expect minxy to get this right as well...... What colour was Doctor Spock's blood?
