Minxy has asked me to put her answer as 260. And as I am too much of a gentleman to pinch her answer, I have agreed to do so <whistle>

I think Maestro is on next, 260 it is - or rather a string of ponies and a pavarotti. Over to you.

    Ok. Easy question.

What is the most played piece of music by Wagner?

If you mean an individual piece then Ride of the Valkyries (a very popular piece used as film score to Apocalypse Now amongst others),

otherwise the Ring Cycle (of which Ride of the Valkyries is part) is probably the most popular of his work.

If not the Ride of the Valkyries then Maestro then I would have to go with the Hochzeit March (or better known in English as the Wedding March)

There are other more popular works of his than the Ring Cycle opp.

The piece I am looking for is from one of his operas, or should I say music dramas

indeed it is, Dougall was based on Hancock and Dylan was named after the singer - one of my favourite programmes as the humour worked on two levels, for children and for adults.
