Message from Mick (site owner)

"Today I joined us up to a forum co-operative to prevent spam. Basically every time we ban an IP, username or email for spamming it updates a central database so that every other forum who is in the co-operative knows to block this person from spamming. Naturally we also check all our accounts to make sure they are not known spam as well.

In the few hours since introducing it it's stopped 6 spam accounts already - hopefully this should solve most of the problems we've had"

Yes I do know Shergar; I have several (not as many as you I admit). Thanks anyway. The argument is that they will have to change both IP address and email address in order to get past registration. It takes literally seconds to ban someone and delete all their posts. It takes longer to change IP address and email address. So who will get fed up first?

The spammers like the one that posted on the Horse Racing forum will be computer controlled though . . .

Computers don't get fed up. They just do what the person in control has asked them to do!

Does every mod on this site have the power to ban anyone they want then, or is it just the the main guy?

I've posed a few questions to the site owner and await some answers.
