hi everyone been reading the banter on 606 for years so decided to join this new forum, ive been supporting the lads for over forty years through the up and downs and have never felt as excited as mutch as i do now,the way the club is being run and the type of players were after and bringing to the club shows real ambition, and exciting times ahead for us all i hope, anyway hello to everyone on here again hope to have some good banter with you all byeeeee

Welcome Trev. See you're from my neck of the woods. I'm originally from Peterlee, but been living down south or abroad for the last 34 years. I used to drink in The Trust or The Bell when I came home on leave. Do they still exist?

I agree with you mate, when you say "exciting times ahead" I've never known it to be so good in all my years of supporting Sunderland. We are showing real ambition with the players that we are targeting and hopefully signing!

hi ya mate yes the bell is still open the trust is cloased i think, my mate used to have the bell ian peacock, not sure if it is still called the bell though, not a lot changed up here mate,i live at grants houses, good to here from you mate

Dorset Mackem,
Yes the Bell's still there and going strong, The Trust's shut, had a fire a few years ago and never reopened.
I'm another newbie like Trev but from Peterlee also spend most of my time working abroad, home at the minute.

I packed in drinking years ago, so not had a reason to go down Horden when I've been home. Fond memories of collecting coal off Horden beach when I was a kid! Hard work though.

Hi Jack. Good to meet you mate :) I'm from the rough end of Peterlee, The Royal Arms area, I'm sure you know it! So the Trust is a pile of rubble then? The last time I went in The Bell I got bottled by some loon who I didn't even know :( Needless to say, I never went back again!

prob seen you down there was always down fishing muckybay and the bellhole and the cabins always had abit crack to the lads picking coal
