Players I would like to see;
Karl Duguid RB(PLymouth, free)
Jim Paterson LWB(Plymouth, free)
Radostin Kishishev CDM(Brighton, free)
Clayton Donaldson ST(Crewe, free)
Scott McGleish ST(Orient, free)

Who would you like to see? All those are realistic but we still wouldn't have a CAM

COYS

I can't see Donaldson coming to us. Maybe if we had been promoted. McGleish has a good goalscoring record but his age counts against him. It is rumoured that we have been watching Greg Tansey of Stockport. 23 years old, 6ft 1inch and 10 goals from midfield in a struggling side.

shrews are going to have to spend some serious cash to stay in competition with the top 7. a combination of loans and up to say 750k will be needed. ouch said uncle rowland dropping his decanter of port, luckily onto a cushion. floreat salopia. could we sell matty harrold. torquay will need a new star in L1. good luck torquay

Good recent stats for Tansey and Grimes.

Let's not forget though, that we now have no specialist full backs at all and need centre back cover too! On the other hand, we have Collins, Bradshaw, Harrold and Elder contracted for next season. Doesn't seem quite right that our greatest recruitment need (numerically) is in defence, which was probably where we were strongest last season.

This is where GT shines, as an expert in the free/loan market. I trust his jusdgement but am convinced he's made a big mistake on Raven

PS in the Stockport program dated 16th April it said Tansey turned down a move to Liverpool

County really are in a crisis- 11 senior players

i think gt has made`2 `howlers raven and mccintyre, time will tell. time for gt to do the 3 peaks and contemplate on the sharpest ooh!

He will have his reasons for releasing Raven. Medically or another player in the pipeline...

I have no doubt that defence is the crucial bit to fill but a players like Tansey and Grimes technically knocking shots in on goal as midfielders is a great asset to have. Who knows what Sadlers plans are, perhaps his home team of Walsall can afford him?

McIntyre was a good servant to the club but is now past his best.
Just a thought think he offered Steve Leslie a new contract because he would have gone to Hereford and could have come back to haunt us next season with loss of six points.

Offering Leslie a contract means that if he turns it down to go anywhere else they will have to pay us money!! I think Leslie will come good this season if he gets the opportunity. Central left midfield, he can lob in those power shots all day long!!!

All too often this season Leslie's power shots cleared the bar, and I mean well cleared the bar. I agree about the compensation we would receive if he went and an astute move by GT. Perhaps he doesn't really want him to stay. Just show me the money. Wycombe and Bristol Rovers are apparently interested.
