    Gillingham have just tweeted.

Schoey "Gaffers done the squad list and he's left the number 10 spare. Who's going to fill that I don't know"

Now who could that be, well I believe it will be a striker but this means Martin Allen has someone else lined up.

    ...Or someone else!
Here's hoping. We definitely need someone nippy to play alongside Bayo/Kedders.

It is likely to be a striker given its the number 10 that's vacant!

It's been a long morning here in oldsparky land - need to go to a meeting now hope to see some real news later! (but not holding breath!)

Yeah I think this is going to be a long game that they will play, wonder if we will know before the bigger friendlies?

Sorry just looking to clarify some things; is Cody still under contract with Coventry until 2014? It's just there has been a lot of chat about him being released. Also would any bid we make be accepted/allowed to go through due to Coventry's ongoing transfer embargo? Word on the beeb is that it isn't going to be lifted for at least a fortnight? (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23106837 29/06/13)

We apparently paid £198,000 for Jackson (fee lifted from: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/simeon-jackson/transfers/spieler_44913.html) as a relatively unproven non-league striker so I think £300,000 for Cody sits about right with me. Naturally I think there are possibly better bargains out there to be had but I think it's sometimes better to stick with who and what you know.
