I looked through the rules and am quite disheartened. Nothing about sanctions for playing like a dick.
They need to cascade this down to youth team football too. Some of the abuse kids (and most certainly their parents) dish out is astounding. What they learn on the pitch at 8 & 9 they see replicated on MOTD with their "heroes" doing the same thing. The down side is I can see prima donna Refs getting all huffy when someone throws a FFS at them.
I hope they send off anyone with one of those hipster beards. "persistent and offensive facial hair' Rule XCV (iii) (b) I think. Though it is fun to see footballers catching on to fashion a couple of years too late.
