Fell asleep after the first two minutes.

Ah, that’ll be your age Paddy and your obesity….oh and your insistence of asking innocent punters to “pull your finger” in the Twaat Bar….it’s not a good look pal! Noticed BFB gave you another ‘like’….pattern forming!,

Oh there you are again Maskee. Hope you are well and keeping your pecker up.

Now you listen to me pal! I might be a tad overweight but I completed my 220th Parkrun last Saturday. I reckon that’s about 220 more than you sofa boy. And as you allude to my good friend and running acquaintance BFB, he too is a veteran of the Saturday morning fitness regime. We athletes think alike.

Anyway, is there a Greggs in Llandaff or do you have to drive to pick up your pies? <laugh>

He buys on line and gets them delivered. Saves the chubster exerting any energy apart from his posting finger. Which he has to clean off first of all

Saturday will be my 440th Parkrun. One guy at Porthcawl will be running his 500th. The 4th person at Porthcawl to achieve that landmark. <ok>

Fug you chums! Masky was a club runner entering competing races most Sundays. Most of the club runners have dodgy limbs because of our propensity for fell running but Masky is intact, got out when he had done most things….never a lurker…..cheeky Robbie!

A club runner??

Is that someone who smuggles chocolate bars across borders????

I wonder what Tan is thinking?

Can't imagine him liking being asked to sell. He seems to like things on his terms.

The next question is how serious are Bale's backers. How far would they go?

Who are the backers? Could we find ourselves bemoaning Yankee ownership?:emoticon-0114-dull:

Maybe this is the answer to your question regarding the Bale "takeover" - it's about this Storch guy looking to take over the Wendies.

As it happens, Storch has come close to buying several English Football League (EFL) clubs.

"We started focusing on US sports and then we started looking at English football about two-and-a-half years ago," he said.

"We've given serious consideration to three different clubs. We did go down the path with Rob Couhig at Reading. We took a look at Blackpool, although we quickly dismissed that one.

"Then we submitted an offer team with Gareth Bale to buy Cardiff City and actually reached agreement with Vincent Tan to purchase the club. Unfortunately, he decided to hold on and we never got that transaction complete."

VT converts another £42m of loans into shares. No day to day effect but significantly improves the balance sheet and anyone wanting to take over the club will need to pay him a significant sum for his shares.

Must be something in the water, Hull's owner has converted £39m of debt to equity this past season. :emoticon-0138-think

This is what I referred to the other day on the transfer thread.
That's a sizable wedge converted by Vinnie again, he really is moving towards making good on his plan to make us debt free by the looks of it.

I find it hard to believe how much stick he is still getting from some of our fans - some numpties are accusing him of stealing the premier league cash and creating the debt in the first place (conveniently forgetting the tens of millions spent on players with very little coming back in <doh> ).

Totally agree. Ive made a correction though.

"conveniently forgetting the tens of millions spent wasted on players with very little coming back in "

Thats better. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Mostly down to the managers and incompetent transfer committee although VT had some responsibility for the money wasted on Velikonja and one or 2 others mainly signed from "sister" clubs.

And to the board constanty appointing managers who want to do something different so want different players.

Tan has done a huge amount for us financially. His reluctance to add footballing experience to the board and to rely on Dalman and Choo has cost him dearly though.
