In simple terms, we're stuck with TS, Roland and Project Breakeven.

Yes. But never let that get in the way of another round of ITK alternative reality conjouring. JK Rowling and JRR Tolkien have nothing on our wonderful wordsmiths :emoticon-0162-coffe

Any informed take-over speculation out there? Or just more ITK willy waggling?

If Thomas has any sense he'll bite the hand off anyone who makes an offer. He's a busted flush, the fans are sick of him, his American firm is bombing and he's under investigation for something allegedly dodgy. Project Breakeven has flopped and he's lost interest, why would he want to keep any stake at all?

This is where I doubt some of the information coming from those who know. If he doesn't have the money to keep the club afloat for much longer, why would he write off the Americans who were enjoying exclusivity back in january? Why wouldn't he be ringing Varney up trying to arrange to meet the buyers? Yeah, smacks of desperation which isn't a good look when you want to sell, but if that is the case, you'd think a pragmatic businessman would agree to take a haircut and put the Valley behind him.
He may yet announce he's sold the whole lot to the Methven crowd tomorrow, but there is very little noise at the minute which may mean a lot or nothing but doesn't suggest an imminent announcment. As with the new owners who come in and breezily announce 'premier football in five years', a lot of the people who have been sharing nuggets, and the fans saying that he is skint, might reflect that he is still here when he had the chance to leave. He may not want to stay but it don't look like the firesale some were predicting. And for me, the fan rumours and the new owner promises are all just smoke and mirrors.

***Allegedly, and i have no proof of this as was told via phone call***

The exclusivity period wasnthe with the Americans - It was Methven and his cronies.
They were fighting tooth and nail to get the Americans on board, but when asked to show their hand to Sandgaard, the American billionaires denied ever being a part of the consortium - It was at this point that TS then pulled the plug on Charlie boys deal as he knew that he didn't have the requirements to proceed.

The whole of January had CM desperately trying to raise enough interetst to continue but he fell way short of the £8M needed.

The £300K non refundable deposit was what had been agreed they had to pay to cover the costs of the new SMT team that they insisted on appointing till end of Jan and Holdens contract till end of season.

Sounds very plausible

If the period of exclusivity has expired and there are no other interested parties, you'd suspect that Spiegel may be trying to negotiate a lower price. And quite right too. Why should he pay for Sandgaard's mismanagement? Sandgaard and Douchbag between them a pair of arrogant twats.
