. Something interesting just popped up on CL.For once I agree with youNot having that, I know less than all of you![]()

Let’s hope he takes his bloody dad with him !Sitting watching all this from the sidelines with my popcorn. Something interesting just popped up on CL.
Andy Scott, one of the new guys parachuted in to oversee the transfer window with a contract until 31/01 has just released a video discussion his view of the transfer window. usual stuff about ins and outs plus those things about big money being offered and rejected for Leaburn, Dobson etc. Ho hum. However, he then let slip that he is on a rolling contract which he hopes will develope into something more permanent next week.
The general interpretation of that is that the takeover is about to happen, nhence he expects to be our Technical Director going forward.
No champagneor party poppers yet, but it appears we may be about to find Martin Sandgaard no longer has a job as recruitment, despite his fabled 'hard shot'.
As a Charlton supporter I’ve learnt not to get to excited or expect too much ! But thanks for your inside info on Charlie boyI can understand you being excited at the change of ownership. Weve all been there.
But as a Sunderland fan i think you need to find out who are the mystery investors are and who is going to running the club day to day.
Charlie was 2nd in command at Sunderland with Stewart Donald the main owner/Chairman and Sartori a third investor who is still part owner at Sunderland I think.
As you will know they completely failed to get us out of League 1. And we finally achieved that when a 25 year old took the reigns and completely transformed our recruitment strategy. A 25 year old managed to sort what the other three couldn't.
Their recruitment plan was nothing more clever than plucking rank average players from other league 1 clubs and it is no surprise they therefore built an average league 1 team not a championship one. How much Methven contributed to the recruitment plan and choices of manager i guess we will never 100% know.
Is Charlie going to be Chairman??????

Thanks for the heads up. To be honest, I doubt many Charlton fans are excited about whatever is about to be brought down on us. A lot of the stuff you have gone through has already happened to us - the last load of crooks seperated us from our ground on the false promise they would buy it later, and a few of the rumours I have seen flying about basically suggest little or no investment, large scale cost cutting and no interest in how we do on the pitch. Our last summer windo wmainly involved bringing in league 2 freebies, so a few run of the mill league 1 carthorses might even be an improvementI can understand you being excited at the change of ownership. .So no change there then.Put our academy on its arse selling off our top young talent for next to nothing.
.
What do you mean?So no change there then.

Looks like it will be a while before we can renew old rivalries on the pitch though.
