I have heard that this is the takeover and Mansour is funding it. It’s done this way as a means of Sandgaard saving face. It is really fishy.

I'm hearing that Mansour is not involved at all - Methven is the front.

Not sure who "The Spivs" are, but been told it's them mark 2???

We have had so many spivs, you will have to narrow it down. Methven doesn’t have any serious money. There must be somebody behind it.

£11.4 million apparently - that would be more than enough to get their foot in the door, but not much else!!!

Edit - That's £11,399,999. more than ESI had.

(the following question should be viewed with the qualification that I know absolutely nothing about what's going on, or indeed about anything at all)

If this is as bad as many seem to think it is, why is Peter Varney still saying Charlton fans should come to the Brighton game tomorrow?
If our Club has been fed to the vultures against his wishes, why does he not just shoot the whole Brighton 'rebirth' narrative stone dead right now?
Are Charlton fans being played by every f**king body - including him?

The only other explanation that occurs is that Varney hasn't conceded that it's all a done deal yet.
He hasn't yet given up trying to get his way.

Relegation is a given now.

Once again the very existence of CAFC is on the line, for the second time since the turn of the decade.
If that's the way it's going to be I hope that everyone involved loses their shirt.
Even Roland will never be allowed to profit from the death of Charlton Athletic if he should outlive it, contrary to what he might believe.

Here it is, just for the record...

Out of all of that, returning Anthony Hayes to his coaching job is a plus as he seemed to have done a good job. A lot of caretaker managers get thrown out when theu don't do what was expected.

Every time the doom-mongers and nay-sayers have predicted we're being ripped off, they've been right.
Sadly, any kind of optimism is now just naivety and foolishness.

Merry Christmas <wah>

So it would seem that PV HAS been in consultation with the Methven group after all - not sure why he has gone radio silent (to the people he usually confides in and on twatter) - surely it's a good thing that PV is involved with this lot?

What you know so far

Scott has been employed to the end of January - he just oversaw a huge player trade for Forest, so this would imply you are going to see a very busy January window.

You have also hired someone whose expertise is real estate negotiating - this would imply that his sole remit is the acquisition of the ground and training ground. Not sure if this is a good thing, as RD still being involved with CAFC is the preferred choice of most fans - greatest owner in your history etc.

TS will still be a minority shareholder, and can whip out his guitar every time CM wants to do a bit of karaoke.

Happy Xmas <cracker>
