Why can't people just at least enjoy promotion for at least 24hrs before stirring the pot.... It's pointless FFS and just draws attention away from a fantastic achievement by EVERYONE at the club this season Gotta love Hull fans!
I think you are nearly right. I don’t believe that any sale will mean a full change in the board of the club.
I responded to that with similar sentiments to my post above yours in here. I still want them out but I'm no longer demanding they sell ASAP. In part because they've barely put a foot wrong this season, and in part because I'm a bit uncertain at the quality of owners out there looking to buy in this climate. I'd be happy to see them spend next season setting the club up in a good position and working on a deal for the following summer.
Although to be honest they’ve had no fans in attendance to upset, we’ll see what happens when we are allowed back to games. We might get there and find they’ve turned the seats around. We now sit and face banners “in Ehab we trust” “we’ll be gone in 24 years” etc
Now we are all but championship, how does that effect the value, are we now worth = to the debt. Will Ehab want more ?
I still want them gone as soon as possible, we’re simply not going to see the mood change completely until that happens, they’ve alienated too many people.
I would like to think we're an incredibly attractive proposition to a new owner but then I see ambitious Americans buying Ipswich for a price I would expect us to be sold for, and scratch my head.
You're right, but I suppose I'm rationalising in my mind how to be happy with putting up with them for potentially another 12-18 months.
Ipswich own their own ground and their owners wrote off a lot of debt. Better crowds as well. A lot more attractive proposition at the same price as a club without a stadium. And, it has the benefit of being close to Norwich.
Just hope we don't adopt the German ownership model, or if we do don't delay it for too long, as a club which has been funded by someone for 20 years doesn't have to have the 50% + 1 set up. Can get round it as well by having a company own it who is then free to accept or reject members like RB Leipzig do. All members have connections with Red Bull. Could see all City members working for Allam Marine.
Yes. Never realised that. Always assumed they owned it as the Cobbolds spent a lot of money redeveloping the stadium. Thoughnit is still more attractive than our set up having a 99 year lease on it.
We get the use our stadium for free, I don’t think a lease gets any more attractive than that (Ipswich are paying a six figure rent to their council).
What happened to paying over half of the ticket sales on crowds over the average of our last season before we moved into the KC, an arrangement FC had as well? Do Ipswich Town keep all the profits on the beer and food sales, which I don't believe we do? Lost tracks of these things. Do like the mention on Wikipedia that the KCOM Stadium, due to UEFA branding rules is also known as The Hull City Stadium. If correct must slip that into any conversations with FC fans.
The rent paid is based on SMC profits and they don’t make any, so pay nothing and haven’t done since AP sold up (he wasn’t paying much either). We get the profits from the hospitality, but these will currently be very low due to the attendances, particularly in the corporate areas (when we were able to attend obviously).
2 more reasons not to watch MOTD next season- Narch and Watford promoted. It doesn't get much blander than those two.
