It's not like Rick to post something like this without having good reason to think there may be something in it.

I won't believe it until I see an announcement about it on the official site, a video interview with the new owners, and absolute physical proof of the Allams not having any control. And even then I still won't be fully convinced they're gone.
You could flip it, McCann himself said he had money to spend, that wasn't the case until he was appointed. So either somebody else has agreed to takeover or they promised him some funds to get him to sign. Probably the latter. But still.
Maybe Rick isn't, but The Supporters Trust often are. I'm not involved with the trust any more so I have no idea about this latest rumour but it wouldn't be the first time that a prospective new owner had approached the Trust.
Just the usual rumours and whispers I suspect .. I'm sure most of these either start with the Allams or just an off the cuff comment from someone more in hope then in certainty which gather momentum because we all want to believe its happening.
I'm sure Rick would say it in good faith but depends who has passed the info onto him. It could literally be an enquiry, something exaggerated, something made up or may be something going on. Who knows we've all waited long enough so take it with a pinch of salt at the moment. I'm sure there won't be much excitement or expectation on here after all we've heard it how many times before?. So having waited for a few years in afraid it's carry on and wait and see.
This thread was started nearly 38 months ago and will soon roll over into its 836th page. And it seems nothing has changed. It's been a long winter!
Well this latest rumour seems to have 'done one' already. There were times when a tweet like Rick's would have elicited twenty pages of excitement and speculation. People have grown tired of believing or even hoping.
They've cried "Wolf" too many times for me I'm afraid. Until the ****s are gone 100%, I will not believe anything.
