That sounds about right. Back in the early 1980s it cost £2k to have a kiddy’s Ladybird ride on for the week. I know that as a #factafuckingmondo .
I've heard (from a half reasonable source) that the Council rejected the offer from the Duffen consortium to develop the land around the stadium. I have no idea how true this is. But it wouldn't surprise me if it proved to be correct. Maybe the good people of Hull need to eject the eggchasers at the next election. That said the old adage that 'stick a red rosette on a chimp and the natives will vote for it', rings true.
The chap who told me, had a straight face on him at the time and his body language didn't suggest anything untoward, though his body odour left a lot to be desired. He'd just completed a workout.
I'd like to respectfully suggest he was trying to appear more ITK than he actually is If there had been any discussions it would have been very much off the record and with a very tight group of people. I doubt the outcome would have got out, and I'm certain it wouldn't have involved a sweaty oik who would blab as soon as he was towelling his undercarriage off in a gym. They can't offer to develop the land formally, in such a way that would be discussed more openly, at the moment, and the Council couldn't formally reject anything even if it was from the Allams, they'd have lots of hoops and committees to go through first I imagine that it is the other way around personally. If they have had conversations with someone from the Council informally and had a positive conversation then they would certainly be put off by the Allams wanting to retain a % of any future profit from development. I'm not ITK though
Maybe so Dennis, though he did appear to be ITK. But who knows. The truth will only come out in the minutes, assuming any were taken or if such a discussion ever took place at a formal level.
Where's the info come from that they haven't? Is it in the media (I've been busy all day so would have missed it) or did a non sweaty mate tell you? Scrub that, just seem the paper
