My understanding is prior to buying City, an informal chat suggested the stadium and environs freehold would be made available. As they then entered into a public slanging match when they were told no, why should they benefit from a reasonable persons success with any movement in the course councils stance?
Any owner would want the land. Adam Pearson tried to get things going but was stopped by the council at every attempt. He was just a diplomat unlike the Allams. But he was just as frustrated by the intransigence of our old labour dinosaurs.
Let's hope someone at HCC learnt the lesson that you don't send your biggest dinosaur Terry Geraghty to discuss stadium land with millionaire investors.
Of course its not the Allams fault, for some it never is. So many suspicious things that when added all together you just knew it wasn't going to happen.
Literally no one is defending the Allams. Some hard of thinking types absolutely won’t blame the HCC. Ever. Regardless. It’s baffling.
Is the Geoff, him for the Supporters trust, bid/consortium still active, or has that light been extinguished? I've heard nothing.
It really does feel like getting rid of the Allam's is like being out walking and getting dog **** on your shoe and you can't find anything to get it off with.
Ending up finding a twig or a lolly-stick to try, in vain, to attempt to remove it - tread by tread - but the bastard persists, gets everywhere curdling the air
Obviously Duffen wants the fanfare of running the club with his hired Bentleys and such like and the money men want the land to make money and invest in. Let’s be honest it’s hardly bloody Mayfair as it is, does anyone think they could make any money out of developing the land round the stadium?
For me, the name 'Sportyco' was a non-starter, it doesn't even sound serious, bit like Boaty McBoatface.. you'd just think "I'm not dealing with these jokers" Do you have proof of funds? Er, got some mates on the internet who are crowd-funding me Sure
