This is the problem. The Allams want a chunk of any potential development that may occur in the future (as they were the ones who originally wanted to do that) as part of the deal. It isn't something that's going to cause the sale of the club to collapse. It's just a niggle. The buyers will either offer more money as part of the sale, or they'll agree to some sort of developmental rights it to push it through. Although I understand completely why nearly everybody has created a hole in their walls with their foreheads, it isn't worth worrying about. It won't be done before Christmas because Christmas is next week.
No one is going to pay extra for land the Allam’s don’t own (West Park is owned by the council, as is the stadium) and has no planning permission for future development. It’s just their latest excuse not to sell. Hands up who saw this coming?
Does anyone have a plan of which areas Hull City AFC own around the stadium? So this Saudi investor wants signed solicitor's searches does he? You'd think this had already been done so for me it's a ploy to win time and seek added concessions from Boy Wonder & paps
I’ve got one somewhere, I’ll post it tomorrow if I remember. Any investor will obviously have it already.
The Allams never sat down and had a proper discussion with HCC (and I have a source for this), so you've mybe got a point and it's related to grudges and regrets on the Allams' behalf and the way they approached and communicated the council; As far as I understand all they did was bluff, bluster and call foul when they were told the facts. Idiots
Really. You don't think ***** bayes and geraghty were deliberately rude to them knowing they wouldn't ever sell the land.
I agree. I think they want to do something with the land, but obviously rival developers are going to want to do that too. I'd call them at their own game, agree to it and then shaft them years down the line.
I think the potential buyers don't have the money. The deal is dead not because of the Council but because of the price.
The price is agreed and proof of funds has been provided. It's already been said. They wouldn't have gone this far with it if they couldn't afford it. Nobody would sit in a room for hours on end with those two bellends if they didn't have the cash to end this ****ing nightmare.
Why agree a price and provide proof of funds when the deal depends on the Council agreeing to the demands of the potential purchasers for development of the surrounding land? Perhaps they are hoping to get the club for £5 million once the transfer window closes and the last parachute payment has been made. Finally, why should I accept the club are telling the truth?
The Alarms exploring other avenues gives me an image of two blind men walking down a dead-end street. We're £ucked all ends up.
I was just going to post the same. Can you imagine sitting a room for any length of time with that pair of bellends. Shudder at the thought.
If you went into a room with them, I could lock the door and come back twenty mins later to let you out. No one would have to know...
You’re right, badly worded by me. They want to sell. They just don’t know how to, don’t know when to say “enough”, which means they will always struggle to sell. I wonder when they are going to put the club’s day to day management in the hands of a specialist company? It was supposed to be this summer. Maybe that was just another of their silly lies.
My analysis on these type of situations is based on listening to what the Allams say is happening, and then assuming that it is the only thing that definitely isn’t happening!
