Last I heard, that was his favoured bid and he was handling it himself, but that was weeks ago and I've no idea who they are.
If they're still talking with multiple bidders I can't see anything being completed this side of Xmas, let alone before the Forest game. I've no experience of buying or selling football clubs but where I've seen company acquisitions happening the preferred bidder is selected before any due diligence takes place. I've never seen multiple bidders doing due diligence and I'd be very surprised if a company would even allow that.
Duffen's lot completely their due diligence weeks ago and their period of exclusivity also expired weeks ago, the Americans could have been going over the books for weeks already.
My guess is that this is all a smokescreen, a bid has been accepted. I expect some good news shortly because Dillon on Radio Humberside told us a while ago this could be the week to end the long 24 hour wait. This bloke knows a thing or two, possibly two, so sit tight. There again, I'm a bit dippy.

It's not all of a sudden. The only bit that's recently changed is the Allams are now desperate to get out because it'll cost them an awful lot to stay. It's possible that they leaked the duffen deal in order to flush out other interested parties to see exactly who was interested and probably start trying to generate a bidding war. The comforting thing is that if the Allams don't leave soon, they'll lose a **** load of money.
I wouldn't be surprised if ebabs trying to negotiate himself as part of the consortium with duffen. He loves the attention he is getting. And daddy can shove his boring generators
Thats a frightening thought. Personallly i doubt it. As much as he might love the attention and 'prestige', I'd guess he and maybe more importantly his family are sick & tired of the hassle, abuse, house getting pelted, the personal risk, etc, so much so that they just want out. Once upon a time feelings toward the Allams remained mixed, but now 95% + dislike or despise them.
