    Apparently it's quite common for them to work like that.

    When Man City was in process of been bought, the Saudi in charge had to make a "big signing" to show others he was serious and encourage more investment.

    To do this he signed Robinhio

    That attracted more money to the club, the rest is history.

    Would imagine a small but significant investment in Jan (build up squad maybe one decent name) of only a few million. That could draw the additional investment

    ....... if we are sold of course

    If we are taken over. It’ll be a tough job getting players in January as you can imagine by that time I would expect we’ll be well entrenched in the bottom 3.
