I interviewed him for my book just before the 2016 play-off final and he was certainly attempting to do it then. The above tweet from Paul Cockerton could have applied to my conversation with him. Before that, his involvement in the club apparently only went as far as helping the Allams make sense of the mess left by Russell Bartlett.
Wise move. Please send the 35 jelly babies to my great niece in Kirkella. (I was going to suggest send 'em to my great nephew in Australia, but the postage cost could probably buy Hull City in a couple of years).
Anyone heard the koukash rumours Allied with Adam Pearson in rugby league politics could it have legs
They're almost certainly bollocks. Also, he'd go down like a lead balloon with our fans. He already changed the name of Salford RFC to Salford Red Devils.
There's supposedly a consortium built up of Pearson, a local well-known City fan who is worth £200m, and someone else (could be Koukash?) Probably rubbish....
I couldn't remember the original name, but I knew it wasn't Salford Red Devils. Either way, I think our fans would get just as pissed off with him as they would with the Allams. I could be wrong, but he seems like the type to piss people off.
There would have to be more involved than Koukash as he hasn't got the money needed for City. He's apparently looking to get back into RL so its more likely that he's chatting to Adam about that.
Anybody that can keep 30+ racehorses in training has a few shillings behind them. Prize money for the last five years topped 3million, though I'm not sure if that is a break even figure. He may be looking at City as it would cost him less. Guesses as to his wealth range from 900million to 3billion. A tad more than our present owners.
Possibly. The figures I put up were only wiki or similar sources. The threshold for the Sunday Times Rich List this year was 70 million, he doesn't appear on it.
Nobody knows what his net worth is (except him), but that $3b figure came from an Australian investigation, so is actually AU$ (£1.6b).
