With over a month and a half until the season starts, it's still not a worry. Some sort of communication from the club would be nice, but given their history, I'm not holding my breath.
If OLM is right and there is debate amongst the family we have to wait until that is resolved before we know whether we get a new owner or not. Its not going to drag on for ever.
It's almost as if we have owners who can't be trusted and just love messing people around.....oh hang on a minute...
I don't think we will see the back of the ****wits yet for a while. They have a lot more pissing off of the fans to do.
Last night I was with someone who was with Ehab on Friday, he definitely wants to stay in charge, but the rest of the family desperately want to sell up.
It'll be an interesting argument in such a patriarchal family. I assume this will be almost all down to Ehab and Assem because others might chip in, but from what I hear it's normally all down to Assem. However he will be only too aware that he won't be around forever and he may feel a need to ensure Ehab looks like his strong successor Interesting times Can we suggest they put it to a referendum?!
If he must stay, surely he can concede all the Hull City Tigers stuff and make an attempt to re-engage with the fans? It makes no sense for him to stay on if he will insist on continuing his squabble with us, it has to be a time for reconciliation, and with Bruce as well. Otherwise we go into another tough season as a broken club and it makes an already tough job even tougher.
It's more than capacity that will determine it, the structure of the business's governance articles will be key.
I think Assem's illness has changed the dynamic, had he been fit and well, I think he'd have made the decision and the club would have been sold by now. That's just my reading of the situation, it's not based on any hard info.
I just can't fathom Ehab only giving Bruce a modest budget to strengthen, we're really pushing **** up hill to stay up.
If he does stay then hopefully he will be shown exactly what people feel about that Lots of empty seats and lots of red cards in the ones that are occupied?
I think that's pretty likely, but I hope if he decides he is staying and it's for the long term that he's also able to recognise that this is the time to do his part to make sure everyone clubs together again. And I think he has the most to do in that regard.
If Ehab stays we'll have another application to become Hull Tigers. Its now a matter of family pride.
