I wouldn't necessarily welcome Duffen back at the club but I do welcome him being involved with the sale - because SOMEBODY has got to tell these two ****ers to sell, and they can't get there on their own. Duffen will do if he sees them over the line.
If it means getting rid of the Allams, I'd cautiously welcome him back! In fact, for helping achieve what we all so desperately want, he'd deserve a 2nd chance. Besides, we don't actually know the truths of what went on last time. He made mistakes for sure; who doesn't. But he clearly has a strong feeling and affinity for our club, and the place would be hell of a lot more positive with him around in some executive role, and the engagement with the fans would likely be pretty much the total opposite of what it's been these past few years.
I thought similar at one point, but there are two key issues about Duffen for me. One is that there are people on here who reckon he was up to some really dodgy stuff, effectively stealing from the club. The other is that tweet where he said if he ever comes back to Hull again it'll be too soon because it's a dreadful place with dreadful people. If that tweet was real, which there was some debate about previously, but on the evidence I believe it was, then again I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club. Still, Kim Jong-Un would be better than the Allams.

People did say it was fake, but I don't think it was proven. Someone reckoned it wasn't available on his timeline now. But others said he'd closed his account and joined under a new one since then. From what I recall of that thread I don't think it was ever proved to be fake.
Well, the original suggestion that it must have been fake as it didn't appear on his twitter timeline when looking back seemed fairly conclusive. Until someone else pointed out that his current twitter account was only x years old and the alleged tweet was from x+1 years ago. The claim was that he'd had another separate account before that. Obviously I'm aware that it's easy to fake a tweet (although why would anyone want to make it look like Duffen had said that?) but there's no reason I'm aware of to believe that it isn't true.
