So this thread has now reached 300 pages. I remember even early summer coming home from work, getting straight onto this thread to get the latest, as it was the only source of news. That was when the sale seemed a formality. Never looked less likely now.
And just noticed 6000 posts! and nearly 400,000 views. Seems I'm not the only one using this thread for news.
David Burns @bbcburnsy Not wishing to add to @hullcity confusion but contact suggests another Chinese group from Hunan Province interested.50% state-funded.#hcafc
So we've got 4 consortiums interested. Two from China One from Germany And now apparently a Japanese consortium have come forward if you believe a local journalist. The 130m bid (Chinese/Pearson) was it accepted? or is a bidding battle still going on. Somebody needs to tell these potential buyers if the deal doesnt get done for January (window) they would have bought a Championship side. Though with this seasons payments and the parchute payments from Sky/BT they obviously will have taken that into consideration and still view it as a very good business deal.
Lets hope something comes of it, just hope they don't just fade away(the consortiums), and we are left with these two docile twats, because if people think its bad now its only going to get worse, just look at Blackburn absent owners, club being run down, selling club, surviving on loans from other clubs.
The parachute payments don't even cover the wage bill, if we're relegated it will cost any owner a load more cash, £130m for a club that has no assets and looks nailed on for relegation is an appalling business deal.
I just get it then. We don't own our own stadium we are pretty much nailed on for relegation yet they are willing to pay 130m
I don't think anyone is willing to pay £130m. I don't think there are four consortia duking it out to buy Hull City. I've no idea whether that Hong Kong stock exchange thing was quite what it seemed. I've no belief that Ehab wants to sell the club to anyone, let alone anyone at a price that is reasonable for both parties. I believe that in that toxic mix, with a woefully under-invested squad and backroom, Phelan is doing a decent job. And fans could do well to latch onto that and support him and his team, as happened at Watford yesterday.
I don't know I'm just going by what ive read in the media. One group failed the Premier League tests. And another was put on the stock exchange but I wont pretend to know anything about that kind of stuff.
Did you take it yourself? Iv'e just been looking at Google images and didn't see it on there. One thing, I did realise I need to go there sometime
