Brady's certainly no Churchill, but he's still a couple of levels above Geraghty.

As has been said the £1 statement is just stupid, though I think they would sell with the right deal.

I know we've talked the hell out of this before, and you might be right, but as I said to Hutch, I think given the right deal they would move on it.

    Agree given the right deal

When posters try and make you look a dick (which i do well enough by myself )by quoting silly comments made in the daily rag by geriatic members of the council i will disagree

Sydney behave with your the council have stated theyl sell for a £1 will they bollocks, my point was the tone of there statement which could of been made more welcoming to the chinese who could invest alot in our little fishing village, not come across as mocking it smacks of dickheadness which is what i originally stated hope that clears it all up and we can move on

I heard yesterday from a good source at the club that the deal was signed on Thursday last week but nothing can be announced until Mid Sept (could it be when they have had and taken the first chunk of prem money) and that a new manager will announced and it was said it was Coleman., Like I say just what I heard yesterday.

If the Chinese offer a pound for the stadium don't the community have the right to try and purchase it?

What do think the 'right thing' would be?

I think of anyone said they'd buy the club, but only if they could own the stadium they should be told to bugger off, no matter how many billions of pounds they have in their pocket

    So there

I thought it was listed as a community asset, in which case yes we could
Do you fancy going halves, outbidding them at £2, and we'll just loan it back to the Chinese?

As far as I know..and stress 'as far as I' the council wouldn't mind off loading the stadium because they are pott-less. That said 'IF'...if any future new owner wanted to purchase the stadium from the council then I personally wouldn't have a problem with that, with agreed assurances in the contract of course, ie the egg chasers can play there. Yawn. The council could then re-invest the dosh into projects or ask the new owners to invest x amount into the local economy as part of the sale agreement. If it ever happens is of course, another thing. Apol for the long one...

I think you're right, I just don't think they should

Do you think in hindsight they should have sold it to the Allams for £1 then?

Maybe with their experience of underground malls etc, they could do something about an underpass at Castle Street...
