And many other things to boot. A 50/50 cost split would be fine if the egg chasers had as many home games as City, they don't so it isn't.
You'd think it would be split pro-rata. SMC ownership could bring potential development and associated revenue streams into play though.
I can't see a problem with them paying the same price per game as city so the burden of the overall costs are shared based on use.
If I remember correctly Hull give 50% to the SMC on gates over 7,500. They keep the first 7,500 then 50% of the ticket money on crowds over that figure then go to the SMC.
No one’s throwing toys We’re rejoicing at what our our man has said No free ride for those ****s Suck it up
I was told by one of the main people of the stadium development committee at the time, that Costello was originally the preferred location, but the local councillor was so against it they threatened to delay it as much as possible with planning appeals and whatever else they could use.
This is my view too. And pro rata does not mean 50/50, but rather an allocation of costs based on use.
Why the **** would Rovers want to merge with the dark siders when Rovers are on the up? Rovers are buying their own ground, they don't have money problems. That's the long explanation and the short one is go **** yaself regarding a merger.
Yeah, but instead of 2 provincial sides you could be a potential world force. Like household name like Barcelona at football.... Could play in red an call yourselves Hull Utd. It'd shock the world....
Likelihood of it ever being 50/50 when the football club essentially controls the SMC is unlikely, but pro rata split of running and maintenence outlay seems fair, and allegedly a massive uptick on their current contribution.
Well, you are. You are letting your hatred of Hull FC get in the way of business decisions. No-one is suggesting that they should get a free ride, but you are suggesting that Hull should get chucked out the ground regardless, which would mean City have to pay more money for the upkeep of the ground.
I think it is telling them that what Hull FC pay is no longer a good deal for a stadium that needs more upkeep money spent on it, but the SMC is willing to work with them to try and find a deal that works for both clubs.
